I have a macbook pro with an iris video card which does not allow me to run 3 monitors currently. Can I use this to run 3 monitors?

You will not run 3 separate monitors individually.This allows your system to run two additional monitors as if they were a single extended display, with a new resolution setting that permits that extended display to split itself in half.Your two monitors will perform as if they are two separate monitors, from a document, program, or browser viewing perspective; but your computer will think it's a single display split in half.As long as your video card can support extended display, this will funtion as if you were using 3 monitors. (main display on the macbook, plus two monitors to the side).
