Very simple to use have used on mid- heavy weight cue tip and extra hard bakelight tip worked for both. Use in palm or put on floor for more serious grinding but go slow and check often. Nickel cut out works weii in determining shape of cue tip.

The willard tip shaper is the best shaper I have found for my pool cue. I also have the bowtie style & this is better. The carbide grit stays sharp and doesn't come off after use.
