The Silent Patient

This book got me into reading and I've never looked back, it's a phenomenal book that's super interesting, the twists and turns will drive you mad. Expect the unexpected when your reading this book, there are a few sensitive topics but I found it amazing, it's super interesting and will keep the read interested. It's a great book to get you into reading or out of a reading slump. 100% recommend. <—*This was my old review but after having read many other books I can now say that this is not an amazing book but it isn’t bad either. The plot is kinda predictable and you can take a guess, apart from this the book is also really hard to get into until like half the book. I actually wouldn’t recommend this book for a reading slump anymore, there are far better, fast paced books you can read instead :)*

A good mystery novel. Will not disappoint

So easy to read and I couldn’t stop even after reading 10 pages , you get so involved that you forget what time it is. Soo good, didn’t expect the end at all. Highly recommend it ❤️❤️

When I started reading I thought to myself that this would be a mid book but whoaa I was wrong this was literally such an amazing plot it kept making me want to never stop reading because of the suspense and the cliffhangers I read and I read until the ending made mu want to go crazy . The ending was such and unexpected plot twist. I definitely recommend this book .

Good read

The book cover does not do justice to the most amazing story waiting to capture your mind.The writing is impeccable and very easy to read.All the characters are worded so well.I simple could not put it down.The twist sealed the story and the book has become on my favourite books of all time.

one of my absolute fav books of alllll time. the entire thing was so interesting and i never saw it coming. the plot twist was insane. absolutely loved this book

Maybe if your looking for an easy read you could read this and perhaps enjoy the book but I wasn't very fond of it since I was looking for a very intense phycological thriller.

Incredibly exciting and breathtaking

The Silent Patient revolves around Alicia Berenson, a famous painter who is accused of murdering her husband, Gabriel. After the incident, Alicia completely stops speaking, refusing to explain what happened. Theo Faber, a psychotherapist, becomes fascinated by her case. Determined to make Alicia speak again, he sets out to uncover the truth behind Gabriel's murder and understand why Alicia chose silence. This was a mind-blowing thriller for me. Throughout the story, I kept making guesses about the mystery, and every single time, I was wrong. The suspense kept me hooked from beginning to end. As I reached the final pages, I started to predict part of the truth, but the actual twist still shocked me. I even went back and reread some pages because I thought I had misunderstood something. The revelation was both surprising and unforgettable. Although I was hoping for a different ending, I still enjoyed the book overall. I also wished there had been more clarity and closure regarding certain events and characters. Nevertheless, the suspense, psychological depth, and unexpected plot twist made it a highly engaging and memorable read.

This book is absolutely amazing, it captured my attention right from the beginning. I mean the writing is fantastic, the slow story building throughout it and the ending like I wasnt expecting it. I couldnt put the book down, I ended up reading it in one day. I would 100% recommend getting it

I've read lots of psychological thrillers and to this day nothing beats Behind Closed Doors and Into The Darkest Corner and whilst reading this book i was convinced The Silent Patient was going to topple these. It was so very close! This is a fantastic novel with solid substance. I've never read so many pages in one sitting, this is utterly un-put-downable, i had to force myself to stop and save it for another evening, i didn't want this to end! Its incredible pace just kept on giving! Alex Michaelides is a superb writer. I was kept on the edge of my seat throughout. It was impossible to guess how this was going to end, i was hoping so much that all the predictions the author threw in with regards the suspicious characters wasn't going to happen. Then that twist! An absolute jaw dropper! I've not come across such a supertwister since Between You And Me. As the story continued after the big reveal i read with eye popping anticipation over each word carefully which led to a perfect ending. I say a perfect ending, not the perfect ending. This could've ended in so many alternative perfect endings. The final sentence left me so confused. I was hoping for another page. I had theories but over the next few days i had to digest whilst asking in the book communities. I eventually got my answer and i was somewhat satisfied. The problem is, with such a genius of a book it just leaves you wanting more. From all the characters involved, how things carried on forward with them. This book has everything you need from a psychological thriller with a killer twist that is impossible to see coming!

Absolutely great book, there was a specific moment where id gotten genuinely scared reading it! Great writing. I absolutely recommend
