A trip to the laundromat leads to a momentous occasion when Trixie, too young to speak words, realizes that something important is missing and struggles to explain the problem to her father. Review: True story - Whoever has a child will relate to the story! Funny and enjoyable. Great story to talk about feelings and emotions as well. Review: Suitable for all ages - I really enjoyed this this story of parental misunderstanding, and so did my son of three. His baby sister is just learning to talk and he was hysterical with laughter at Trixie's attempt to communicate and every time we read it shouts "Aggle Gaggle Flaggle" at the appropriate moment. I think the story is very easy for children of all ages to relate to: that your parents don't always understand you. There are lots of details my son picked out on multiple readings; the photos on the wall of Trixie's parents as backpackers, newlyweds, and then exhuasted new parents; that Americans say laundromat not launderette; the emotions on Trixie's daddy's face depicted so accurately. But fundamentally it works as a strong narrative of adventure, crisis, and redemption told with rhythym and repetition in a way children who are barely old enough to talk can enjoy. Like all good texts it does work on several levels and from a parent's perspective it is so true and funny I guarantee you will laugh aloud in empathy.

Lovely large pictures
Brilliant book. My children in the Kindergarten love the pictures they asked me over and over if the pictures in the book were real😂 It was a "hit", love at first word. I can honestly say one of the only books that kept them interested.

Story of a lost bunny
A special story to us as we have a little one with a favourite bunny too. Story is about a father and little daughter taking a trip to the laundromat, to which the dad accidentally puts the daughter’s favourite bunny to wash. Easy to read to littles. Visuals are tailored to older crowd but it is no bother and easily one of toddlers favourites

Muy recomendable. No puede faltar en ninguna biblioteca.
Precioso cuento. Muy entrañable, estupendamente ilustrado y contado para que desde los más pequeñitos hasta niños mayores entiendan y disfruten de la historia. Sin duda, es uno de los cuentos favoritos de mis hijas.
