Clears water
Clear water in just couple of days works faster than the straw bails and you dont get any pieces of straw floating around. Good price, no problems with the fish I would buy this product again

Doesnt work
My pond isnt big, but we've been battling algae with this heat... bought this hoping it would help. Not one single bit, in fact the issue has gotten worse.

Excellent product.
Excellent product for clearing pond algae, much better than the barley straw. Just be aware of instructions to add adequate aeration if applying to a heavily infested pond. The breaking down of the algae causes oxygen depletion in the water. I thought that I had adequate aeration and lost some fish, will not make that mistake again. Have used the product to maintain a clear pond since my misadventure.

Use more than the directions state
Barley extract does cut down on algae in our 50 gallon horse stock tank, but we use at least double what the directions say to use, and why I only gave it 4 stars.
