Awesome for hormonal acne
I buy this in the six-pack because I go through it. Honestly, I don't especially love the taste, but you do get used to it. Like many of the other reviewers here, I drink this because I have (had, thanks to this tea!!) gross hormonal acne that popped up along my jawline and the sides of my chin. (Unlike many reviewers, I'm female but I don't have PCOS, just terrible skin.) I had read somewhere that people take spironolactone for this type of acne, and had resigned myself to waiting until my insurance plan year was up so that I could go see a dermatologist, then I read on SkincareAddiction that people sometimes use spearmint for the same! Apparently it binds off with the excess androgen. For this reason, I wholeheartedly recommend this to women but I'm not sure what would happen to men if they took it, since androgen is a male hormone.... I found this product first in a local natural foods store and dove in, starting with two cups a day and tracking the number of blemishes in that area. (I am neurotic.) The first day, I had 27 blemishes. The tenth day, I had five. By then end of the first month, I had no blemishes along my jawline--at that point, as much for expense as for anything else, I scaled down to one cup a day and found that was effective for maintaining my new clear skin. I've been at this for about six months now, I'm finally eligible to go to the dermatologist and I won't bother now. Incidentally, I didn't find that it had much effect on the rest of my face--other than this hormonal stuff, I break out when I deserve to (falling asleep with makeup on, a weekend of crappy eating) and the spearmint didn't effect that either positively or negatively. I buy this in the six-pack online because it's quite difficult to find in stores! The first box that I bought was the only such box in that health food store, and I had to supplement with Bigelow's Mint Medley, which was a mix of different mints, and as far as I can tell only the spearmint has this effect. I saw faster improvements when I was drinking the pure spearmint.

Doing good, but males be careful *Update**
Tastes good cold and warm. I use it for hormonal acne since stopping my aldactone. I have been lucky so far. With this and DIM, I have remained pretty clear. I hope it lasts. I drink two cups of this a day. I like the taste and cannot leave it unattended around my three year old. Be careful around the boys. He was pretty emotional and I couldn't figure out why and remembered he had been stealing some of my tea. I know my prescription was blocking testosterone. I do not know how this works but it does something and he was a mess. Update month later: I still drink two cups of this tea. I take it morning and night. No problems with my skin yet. I am on my second cycle and my face should have at least three pimples, but I have nothing. Still very clear. I sometimes see a small bump trying to appear but it vanishes quickly. I am still taking doxycycline and I wonder how it will affect my acne when I stop that and use just tea, facial gel and DIM. Update Year Later: I went on Accutane. After that it is normal for the dr to do aldactone for maintenance. I hated the aldactone as I gained 20lbs. I found that one cup of this a day has my skin glowing. When it is that time of the month, i drink two. There is a noticeable difference. This tea works like the aldactone by being anti androgenic, which is apparently my problem. This tea gave me the same benefits without gaining weight. Now i did stop this tea for a month. I didn't change any habits and dropped 7 lbs. I think that it may slow down weight loss, but at least it does not make me gain anything. It's a must for me. Keeps my skin clear and glowing.I do recommend it.

My favorite tea
I drink spearmint tea daily to help balance hormones(it works!), and this brand has become my favorite. The flavor is fresh and soothing/ calming effect, and the quality is consistently excellent. It brews beautifully every time and feels clean and pure. I trust this brand completely — perfect for a daily wellness routine!

Good for What Ails You
The contents of the bags are almost 100% leaf. Other brands I've tried contained a noticeable amount of stems, which add to the weight without adding any desirable compounds and causes bitterness when steeped. The tisane is very minty, and when properly prepared it is not at all bitter. Adding sugar makes it even more minty, but I think that makes it taste like gum or toothpaste. The delicate flavor does not stand up well to cream or milk, so if you like those in your tisane, adding an extra bag will help keep the mintiness. Leaves of any plant only have so much "goodness" to give, so do not steep for a long time hoping to make it stronger; it'll just be bitter. Things that can cause bitterness include: the water was too hot and scalded the leaves, it steeped for too long and over extracted bitter compounds or not enough water was used. If that happens, I find that adding a few ounces of water fixes the problem well enough that I don't need to toss it and start over. I have PCOS, and as many here have mentioned, one way to reduce the androgen hormone and control symptoms is to drink spearmint tisane. I take 2 bags, twice a day, steeped in 16 oz of hot-but-not-boiling R.O. water for 4 minutes. Five days of doing this and menses happened after being M.I.A. for over a year, so it definitely works for that purpose. It also reduces and even eliminates unwanted hair, it just takes a long time (at least 3 months) and requires rock-solid dedication to daily imbibing.

The tea is very pleasant and refreshing. I recommend it for people who are concerned about their excess weight and want to lose weight. It helps you lose weight and feel fresh and energized during the day.

I like it
Its not super bitter and I’m glad because it doesn’t need any sugar or cinnamon and it makes me period cramps a bit more manageable so I like it

Best thing I've ever done for my skin
I started drinking this to help with adult hormonal acne (chin and jawline primarily) on the recommendation of my dermatologist, it took some months for this to show anything other than minor improvement, but I think initially I wasn't brewing it strong enough (I now get the water boiling hot and then allow the tea to steep until it is naturally cooled (15-20 minutes) and I squeeze the bag to get all the goodness out). Once I adjusted my brewing technique I noticed improvement rather quickly and dramatically. I drink a mug first thing in the morning while I get ready for work, and then a second some time in the evening before bed. My skin has never been good, but now for the first time since I was 13 my skin is clear and beautiful (I won't say how old I am, but I've been dying my hair to cover grays for more than a decade sooooo....). I also think I've seen a decrease in those pesky random "mutant hairs" that seem to pop out of nowhere a couple times a year like a horror film monster. I did notice in the beginning that I was more sleepy, but this seems to have gone away, and I never experienced any nausea or other nasty side effects. I find it doesn't have a strong flavor and is easy to "chug" on my way out the front door in the morning.
