La Crosse Technology Backlight Wireless Forecast Station with Pressure

Handsome unit that was well packaged and very easy to set-up. Sensor synced to display immediately and agreed with the humidity and temp. of our dyson fan tower. On sale for $60 cdn. Will update forecast quality in a couple of weeks.

My dad requested I get him a barometer/thermometer reader. He actually wanted one he could hang so he could look at it from the window. He did not want one that was electric, but I got this for him anyway and he likes it well enough. (I had a hard time finding an analog thermometer/barometer/hygrometer that was easy to read at a distance, affordable, and accurate). I put it right in front of the stairs so and by the front door, so everyone sees it every day. The numbers are big so he could read it and the display is easy to see. I would not say it is accurate though, because it started raining and there was no indication on the monitor (no change in pressure). The different weather apps we have also did not predict the rain well; they said it would be sprinkling but it was raining. The temperature reading for indoor vs outdoor is fine though and that's what we use most of the time. It's off by 5 degrees Fahrenheit, but I think the relative difference between indoor and outdoor temperature is OK. We live in California, so it does not get humid and it's not so important for us, so the value for outdoor and indoor humidy are not the same but very similar which is expected. Also, it uses a 5V charger which came in handy because I could not find the charger for my electric toothbrush and I was able to use the "weather station" cord. I do like how it has batteries for back up and I do like that there is not an app required - because it would never depend on an app being maintained by some company that decides to stop offering support. Overall, I am satisfied with my purchase and would recommend this if you are looking for and affordable thermometer, barometer, and hygrometer (humidity) that is easy to see and set up.

Nunca funciono el reloj atómico, el barómetro no funciono, siempre marco el mismo pronostico de días nublados en días despejados, el hidrómetro tenia una lectura errónea de hasta 8 o 9 puntos de humedad. no lo recomiendo para México.,

Great accuracy, works well. It's a bit persnickety about the viewing angle. The barometer bar graph is a really nice feature, but it continually blanks, then refreshes one bar at a time in a scroll effect. There's no reason for this, but it cannot be turned off, and it is annoying. Still, I'd much rather have the feature with that annoyance than not have the feature at all!!
