This mount is VideoSecu brand. Please report to desertcart.com if you recieve a mount without VideoSecu logo. Professional 2-6" Camera Bracket, All parts are interchangeable and can be customized into 12 different combinations! This neat little kit gives you a lot of versatility for creative indoor and outdoor mount applications, even around corners and near windows, etc... Works with ANY device with suitable standard female thread- including mini monitors, transmitters and a WIDE variety of CCTV cameras and camcorders. Each set includes two 2" shafts, one 2" X-base, one 1" base extender, one 2 3/8" round base, and one head. No special tools required, screw hardware included. Review: worked well for surround speakers - I used the swivel mounts and ceiling clips from this kit to mount some surround speakers. I did put a ty-wrap around each ceiling mount, just to be sure they didn't come down if they were bumped by a tall person. The parts in this kit are well made and allow a variety of options to wall mount, ceiling mount, swivel mount speakers or cameras. The pillar pieces let you place a unit away from the wall or ceiling surface. Finish (paint) was good and these look great, which was a concern because they are on a low ceiling (7 foot) and more noticeable. But they are a quality product at an almost unbelievable low price. Review: Great Multipurpose Mounting Device for Scientific Projects - Short Answer: I purchased one of these to see if I could use it to mount a laser pen in a project box. This turned out to be a very lucky purchase. Looking at other "360 degree omnidirectional universal mounting brackets", I thought I was going to have to spend a lot of money to mount a few of these lasers. It turns out, this little $8.00 bracket is precisely what I need. With a little ingenuity, I imagine it could be used to mount all sorts of project items. So I ordered more of them to mount the rest of the lasers. Detailed Answer: Includes Round Base (free standing or wall mountable) - 2 3/8 inch diameter, sturdy metal, magnetic*, 3 screw holes. "X-Clip" (easy mounting on drop-ceiling) - About 2 inch span, light-gauge metal, magnetic*. Omnidirectional Head - (screws into either of the two mounts listed above) - pose-able in almost any direction, easy thumb-twist setscrew, solid construction, feels like it could support up to a couple pounds quite easily. 1" shaft (inline extension) - very solid, heavy metal, highly magnetic*, screws right in line between head and either base to add length to the mounting aperture 2" shaft (inline extension) x 2 - just like the 1" shaft above, comes with two of them *magnetic* - does not have its own magnetic field, but magnets will stick to it quite strongly. Using either rubber bands or electrical tape, I was able to secure the laser pen to the mounting head quite easily, quickly, and solidly. Using strong magnets, I was able to secure the mount inside the project box without using screws - the magnets I used (neodymium, from inside an old hard drive) were able hold the mount in place, right through the side of the box. When the project was finished, I secured the mount in place with short machine screws. I can mount a thousand things with this bracket! Excellent $8 mounting solution for your scientific project.

Does the job but a little flimsy.
It is what it says. It's a -very- flexible mounting system for cameras or anything that has a camera style mount. It works well and is pretty solid for a fixed installation that is out of reach of tamperers. I've used several of these and they work best in set-and-forget situations. If you are going to be adjusting it often or if there are high wind or weight loads the rotator socket thingie will strip. This is easily rectified by buying a higher quality one designed for photography.

Nice, But Tricky
I am using this as a ceiling mount for my Video Camera. I think I understand the problem with the adjustment that people are having. There are two set screws, as has been mentioned by previous reviewers. The thumbscrew - the larger set screw - is the one that should be tightened first. Neither set screw is designed to touch the sphere. The thumbscrew, when tightened, secures the sphere to the mount by pressing against a cone shaped base on the mount below the sphere. To make the angle adjustment secure, the thumbscrew should be tightened first. So first make sure that the smaller allen wrench set screw (2.5mm) is sufficiently backed-off before tightening the thumbscrew. Then tighten the thumbscrew; and finally, use the 2.5mm allen wrench to further reinforce the fit. Enjoy. I think this is a great mount with a lot of options, and a good value.

3 Years & Holding Strong
I purchased 2x Videosecu Mounting Brackets to install 2x Amcrest ProHD 1080P WiFi Camera 2MP (1920TVL). These mounts were very easy to put together, attach to the walls & mount the cameras to. They came w/various pieces to accommodate a number of configurations. These mounts have been holding the cameras up out of the way for almost 3 years now. They are very sturdy & will probably outlast the cameras. If your looking for mounts for your Amcrest or similar cameras w/ 1/4โ x 20 threads, then have confidence that this mount can do the job.

great added value to Oculus Rift setup
Lots of options with various length pieces. All threads were well cut, no flash or obstruction, pieces went together easily and stayed that way. Purchased these knowing others used them for Oculus Rift sensors (which is what I was looking for). Also pleased the wall anchors and screws were included. The Rift sensors can be moved pretty easily if their cords are tugged at all. I'd recommend putting a loop in your cable and zip tie it to the mount. This prevents that from happening. Overall a cheap easy and effective way to get your Rift sensors off the desk and floor.

Good for non-precise mounting. Do not get for a small projector or very secure mounting needs.
Well I paid $7 for this at the time of this review. I don't know if the price has changed by the time you read this, but if it has gone up then I would deduct more stars. I have to say that I like the kit and all the pieces that come with it. It does allow for a ton of versatility in mounting. I am using it for a pico-projector upside down. I used the 3 screw round mounting base to install it on the underside of an overhead compartment in an RV. That part was easy. The base is solid enough. The problem I ran into was the swivel mount. The side knob does tighten the ball into the socket and does an ok job. The threads on the screw knob are not machined very precisely and it is a little bit hard to turn and to know when it has become tight enough. Also there is an allen screw near the knob that has to be tightened to stop the rotating of the whole ball-socket assembly on the base. The kit did not come with a small allen wrench and none of my standard sizes fit it. It must be metric. I was able to tighten it some, but not enough to be secure. So overall it is very hard to tighten everything down with any type of precision (which is very important for a projector to get the image straight on the screen). This is a cheap mount and it works well enough for mounting things that don't have to be precision aligned. But for anything else this is not quality enough.

VideoSecu 1/4" x 20 Threads Swivel Security Camera Mount 2-6 Inch...
This makes the installation flexible and is good for indoor or outdoor cameras. Installed it on top of my patio and needed to look over about five inches to see out. It started raining and then I realized I didn't have the proper camera but this device was great.
