UTG OP3 Micro SL, Red 4.0 MOA Single Dot, Side Loading, Black

The OP3 is not perfect, but for the price it is a 5-star item. The dot is clear, but at higher brightness it seems to flare out a bit. (Qualifier: not sure if that is because of the product or my astigmatism and correction glasses.) Bringing the brightness level down to what is just acceptable for the ambient light, makes a very fine dot that seems a little less than the advertised 4 MOA and is very good for target shooting. I mounted this on my SW-22 pistol and have been to the range 4 times. The sight was very easy to zero; and so far; has held zero. The 8 brightness levels cover bright daylight to nighttime. On the downside: the parallax is set at infinity, so at close distances, when moving the dot around the lens, there is some shift of the aim point. I estimated this to be about ¼” at 15 yards max when moving from center to outside edge. Of course if you zero with the dot in the center and hold it there when shooting, there is no shift. So, for target shooting at 25 yds, I keep the dot in the center. If close self-defense off hand shooting is your thing, would you care about a ¼” or ½” shift? Another downside is there is no auto shutoff. At about ½ the price of the next good red dots and about ¼ of the high-end models, I am very satisfied with this product.

The first Op3 SL I tried on my G23; it worked out great, shot about 150 rounds. Held zero perfectly. Took the battery out via the nifty drawer on the side (you won't have to remove the whole unit and then re-zero) and replaced the battery - it held zero just as designed. I liked it so well I just bought my second Op3 for another pistol, and I will very likely get a third unit for a secondary sight on one of my AR's. Love these things, such a great value👌

Not sure if a pistol red dot is the right thing for you? Give this a spin! Installation is easy and easily reversible if you don't like it. Zeroed on the bench with about 5 or 6 rounds and it has held zero for a few hundred since then; so good show right there (used a 15 yd zero). Keeps a 5 inch group at 50 yds, which, for me is outstanding at a range I won't bother with using irons. It sits higher than red dots that sit in machine cuts on the slide, but this will let you know if you want to go to one of those more expensive items. On 2/3 brightness, the battery lasted for about 4.5 months of always on; one reason this review took a good bit to write. Overall, this is a great training tool and experimentation tool. I don't think I'd feel comfortable using this for a serious life and liberty tool, but it is an awesome cost effective way to find out if you want to invest in something like the Holosun 503s or RMRs or Venoms. Pistol red dots aren't for everyone; this is fun, functional, and the perfect way to decide if you want to move from irons to RDS. F around and find out if a pistol RDS is your thing.

I didn't have good luck with this made-in-China red dot. I zeroed it on an indoor range, but when I took it outdoors, it was all over the place. Wouldn't hold zero and the controls seemed to be reversed. The red dot is not particularly sharp. (Admittedly, I have some astigmatism, but my other red dots are better.) Plus, both assembly screws were a bit loose; not sure if that is intentional or now. I've had other UTG products before, and they were fine. (But they didn't have any moving or electronic parts.) I contacted UTG and they said to send it in for repair (at my shipping expense). I did so, and they reported back that as I noted, it would not hold zero. So they sent me a new one in a sealed package. postage-paid. Excellent customer service, but I shouldn't have had an issue with it in the first place, which cost me time, money, and a wasted range day. Not sure I'll be keeping this.

At this point I'm impressed the dot is great for the price the frame is durable and I has not lost zero I'm a 100 rounds in on a Glock. And I have high hopes and the lifetime warranty gives me peace about money well spent. Would definitely buy again.

Great for the price. Doesn't have all the convenient options as my higher priced optics , but works great. I put this on a cheaper 9mm pistol and holds zero.

I have Gucci and cheap red dots, but I have never been dissatisfied with any UTGs. Fits perfectly on my rifle offset mount. It's side load battery is so much better than a bottom load. The mark on the optics hood they call a "Tertiary aiming point" is more useful than you would think and assist in lining things up. Happy with purchase.

Für den Preis ein gutes Red Dot. Etwas mehr Einstellbereich in der Höhe -Tiefe wäre wünschenswert, aber die Optik selbst ist soweit klar und solide. Insgesamt bin ich zufrieden.

Für Glock Pistolen ungeeignet!! Die Horizontale ist nicht einstellbar für Glock Pistolen(zu Tief)!

Habe das Visier auf meine Glock 22 GEN 5 MOS montiert. Waffe schießt tief und lässt sich maximal auf 8 cm Tiefschuss hochstellen. Visier baut mit der Adapterplatte zu hoch.... 13.05.25 Zwischenzeitlich mußte ich feststellen, daß die Batterien sich nach Erstgebrauch regelmäßig entladen, wenn das Dot abgeschaltet ist.......keine Kaufempfehlung !
