McDavid Knee Brace, Maximum Support with Polycentric Hinges & Cross Straps, Comfortable Compression & Extra Stability

I have purchased a lighter duty unit - NEENCA Professional Knee Brace - first https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07R62C645. It was providing some good protection for light walking. It was helping me. I then went to the orthopedic doctor for my bad knee which had prior torn ligaments. He recommended a better brace for heavier use - rough surface hiking and sports. They showed me the unit they were going to get for me. Since I looked for the current brace, I knew Amazon had braces that would work just as good as the $750 unit they recommended. (I had other braces years ago which were very uncomfortable.) There are different versions and sizes that I had to deal with. My wife said at these prices, for $50 I could take the chance trying out difference styles and sizes.After much reading of reviews, I determined this is would probably work fine. I liked the one with interchangeable hinge, but I have one lighter duty unit already. This seem reasonably compact, has knee cap protection and seem like it would be comfortable since the fabric stretches rather than fold below the strap. My analysis turned out to be correct. I now can perform exercises like elliptical with good support and it was comfortable, more than the bulky older braces I had in the past.There are a few things you have to be aware: this is elastic and will be tight against you leg, when you sweat in it, it will be somewhat difficult to remove. It is suggested to be only worn for a couple of hours, you should not wear it all day, especially to sleep. I wear the other lighter unit all day when I go to work, I would not wear this one. Finally, these are wear item, even the $750 medical version. How long it lasts, depends on how much you use it.For the savings, I rather have this and other lighter versions rather than the expensive medical unit I wouldn't wear often like the two combination I have bought. BTW, my knees are getting better with my combination.

I purchased this brace due to a knee injury called Runners Knees. A member of my running group highly recommended it. When I ordered it, it was noted the delivery time would be 3wks. Low and behold I got it today so about a week .I tested it out today on a run. It was a bit heavy and tight. I adjusted the straps that relieved some of the pressure. It has great support around the knee area. It has hinges on the inner and outer brace which stabilizes the knee.As I said I tested it on a run today. A bit heavy but very effective. It was a bit difficult to remove and that could be due to sweat. It’s true to size I ordered a medium and maybe a large would’ve given a little wiggle room. I would definitely measure your knee/leg prior to ordering .I’m looking forward to running without it but for now I’ll let it do what it do and that’s to stabilize and help with recovery.Please be mindful it’s not only for runners but for anyone with knee injuries or issues. Perfect use to recover from surgery...

Allow it to stretch as mine was very tight initially. Consider going up a size. Its nice, comfortable, stable, and generally a good product. It is small enough to pack easily and fits under pants. My only complaint is the closed design at the back of the knee. That makes log term wear or high intensity activities uncomfortable after a time due to chafing in the bend of the knee.

I was having trouble with swelling on right knee with a lot of stiffness & sharp pain. Ortho said I had a partial MCL tear, sprained patellar tendon, & arthritis. Recommended this brace for the side support to keep my patella from shifting & overstraining my MCL. It has worked wonders! I can wear it all day over leggings or skin & not have any discomfort. I followed the instructions for measurements & although it feels right at first, it definitely fits perfect.

Works well. I am on my second one for pickleball.

This is a great product ... except I found it hard to figure out what size to buy. Then I found the site, measured my knee, ordered one size bigger than my measurement based on recommendations of others and then when the brace came it was still too tight. I can't wear it. It takes 20 minutes to tug on and 30 minutes to tug off ! And I couldn't find an easy way to exchange it. I am disappointed in that end of it. but as for the brace itself, I wore it for 3 hours.. it did stabilize my knee, but it cut into my thigh and calf and was very uncomfortable because of that. I feel if I had bought a size L instead of M it probably would have been great but I couldn't find an easy way to exchange this product and so I gave it 2 stars only.

I had an older knee stabilizer but have finally lost enough weight to need a smaller one. The velcro on the newer one is much stronger. So, that's good. However, on the third time I pulled it on, the stitching holding the top binding tore. That's bad. So far it doesn't affect the performance. But, we'll see over time how it holds up.

Not only is this thinner than my old , it's a built in compression sleeve with tight hinges. Easy to put on and remove! Quality materials and good construction make this bearable when you have to have one on.Hinges remove for cleaning. It's true to size. When I need another ... I'll go right back to this. I've tried 4 diff. braces .. this is the one!

Very fast delivery from US to Singapore. Product is definitely more rigid compared to knee guards, gives good protection while wearing. It is a bit tight though although my sizing falls in the middle of M.

Estabiliza mi rodilla. Me falta un ligamento cruzado y los meniscos. La uso a diario un par o tres de horas y con ella hago gimnasia y camino muy bien. Me ha devuelto la posibilidad de hacer deporte y caminar. Apreta mucho, no creo que sirva para el dolor, sí para la estabilidad. Tengo 74 años.

Da muy buena estabilidad. En mi caso, me fracture el menisco y me rompí en 30% el ligamento cruzado anterior y me ayudó mucho para poder seguir siendo funcional.
