I’ll be honest — this is not the best tasting or easiest mixing protein out there. It’s a little grainy and takes some effort to shake properly. But that’s exactly why I bought it. This is one of the few proteins that is truly clean. No additives, no sweeteners, no weird ingredients — just straight pea protein. And if you’re trying to avoid all the extra stuff, that matters. Also, no emulsifiers or mixing agents. Most protein powders add those to make it dissolve easier and feel smoother, but they’re still extra processed ingredients your body has to deal with. They don’t add real nutritional value — they just improve texture and shelf life. Most “smooth” proteins are smooth because they add things to make them that way. This one doesn’t. So yeah, you give up a little convenience and texture… but you know exactly what you’re putting in your body. For me, that trade-off is worth it. If you want something clean and simple, this is a solid choice at least for me.

I really wanted to like this protein powder. The price is great, and the ingredient list is clean and simple, which I really appreciate. I also like that it’s plant-based, making it a good option for a variety of dietary preferences. However, the flavor just didn’t work for me. I actually thought I might have accidentally ordered the unflavored version at first because the vanilla taste is extremely mild and barely noticeable. It also has a slightly gritty texture, even when blended. That said, it does have some positives. It blends well in a smoothie without clumping, and I didn’t experience any digestive issues or stomach discomfort, which is important for me with protein powders. I’ve been using it in protein shakes, and while I’ll finish the container, I personally wouldn’t purchase it again due to the lack of flavor and texture. If taste isn’t a priority and you’re looking for a very clean, simple protein powder, this could still work for you.

It is very easy to blend and a wonderful product just as advertised! It’s a very acquired taste though- I make it into a protein coffee shake and add a little sugar and it makes it taste a bit better but no complaints bc of the amount of protein and also how clean of a product it is. (If you can tolerate whey I’d recommend getting the vanilla whey version- it is the most delicious drink ever, I can’t tolerate the extra dairy anymore which is why I switched but regardless very grateful for such an easy way to get my protein in) I can look past the taste but fyi it is not extremely delicious I have to say BUT for what it is and all the benefits it is a wonderful product- I just have to remember I’m drinking it for protein not as a dessert like the whey version was to me🙏😋

Not the best tasting protein, but also I’m used to vegan protein powders being traditionally not very “yummy” dissolves well with a blender bottle and some soy milk. Just tastes earthy. For the ingredients and cost it’s a win for me

Not your average sweetened protein powder. I went to a hollistic doctor and she said that pea protein is the best form of protein (aside from real food) that you can consume. You have to doctor it up if you’re not used to unsweet things. I add banana, strawberries and honey. This is not a powder you should take with water like others because it’s so raw and has very to no taste. I love it because the 5lbs lasts me awhile and because it does not bloat me. Also there is no clumping.

I used to buy this product for many years and drink it regularly with my daughter. It used to taste pretty good. Now the reviews are correct it tastes like peas and there is really no vanilla flavor. I usually buy the 5 lb and so glad I went with the smallest size. My daughter refuses to drink it when she was so excited to have it back in rotation initially. It also has way less calories than before which I used to use this to gain weight and it worked. Very disappointed in this product I received.

Overall, I like it. I’m not sure if I got used to the taste BUT it did have a slight raw bean-y flavor when I first used it. After I let the smoothie sit for a few minutes though, that went away. So all in all, I’m pretty into it. Love the clean ingredients and it’s getting the job done.

Me explain like cave man. Me like company. They make simple product; max 7 ingredients. Protein good for me. Me vegan. Protein vegan. Me need vegan protein so me buy from company. Protein powder gritty. Not southern grits gritty but baking soda in toothpaste gritty. Not deal breaker for me. Taste not vanilla. Taste vanilla soaked coffee filter. Taste over power all other mix-ins. Powder no like liquid. Powder cake up on side of bottle me shake. Me angry because me have to use finger to scrape bottle. Finger a mess. Extra step me no like. Me wonders what flavor doesn't have these problems but me have tried 2 flavors - same problem. Me finish bottle and wait until company improves Powder. Powder make great baking addition. No taste powder when baking.

this item has no other ingredients but what is on the label. clean, pure pea protein, with no lead ( google for yourself, how many pea and whey protein mixes have high residual amounts of heavy metals, lead and Cadmium.) the flavour is not sweet at all. so I added very ripe banana and blueberries, as well as 2 teaspoons of stevia. it then tastes like a milkshake . very impressed that the 5 lb container = 61 servings!! a previous pea protein that i had used for the last 2 years, barely gave me 9 or ten servings at a price of 25 dollars In conclusion, if you want clean protein, good taste with adding fruit and or spinach you will get a great tasting smoothie protein shake.

Tastes like an early Joe Weider formula I used to favour. However there is no vanilla taste to this product at all which is very disappointing. Guess I'll be stuck with ordering the one without vanilla next time.

Not a good taste at all. Very gritty. Had to throw it away because I don’t think anyone would enjoy it.

I’ve tried pea protein powder from a few other companies, from unflavoured to several flavours. I was intrigued to try this brand, with its minimal ingredients and use of real sugar which is so rare, and liked the fact that the macros were good and comparable to the otehr brands as well. I put this in my morning smoothie (with half a banana, spinach and dry rolled oats) and was honestly blown away. The taste surpassed my expectations - the level of sweetness was just right (the stevia ones as a bit too sweet for me) and the vanilla flavour tasted like vanilla bean rather than a very artificial vanilla. It also blended well. I’m a big fan and will be buying again
