I'm not a medical expert, but I listen to some specialists that see the value in holistic medicine. I keep the dropper pretty sanitary in order to re-use it. I use an alcohol swab to clean my outer ear (first) and then add a couple drops into my ear if ever my ears are a bit ache-y. Works like a charm.

So if you have ever had strep you know it’s awful - horrifying sore throat without a cough or congestion, swollen glands on front of neck, awful body aches, headache, fever….basically ouch. This was the type of ick you go to bed even when you have little ones because you just can’t move and can hardly talk. You basically just stare at stuff as your body tries desperately to fight the good fight. In general I try to fight off sickness with natural alternatives to antibiotics as I have a very long history with those guys and they have never done me well - not long term anyway. Well as soon as I felt the first tell-take throat tickle I began the fight with grapefruit seed extract and with olive leaf. However soon after the glass-shards sensations began I succumbed, got some antibiotics and now I am feeling much better the second day after starting them. Where does our friend the garlic oil come in you so brilliantly ask. Well my kiddos (two boys) began feeling sick last night. I had been dosing them with olive leaf and GSE as a preventative, but alas I could see it happening before my eyes. They were slowing down, whining, complaining of dizziness and sore throats. Oh no! I looked in my cupboard again and discovered that somehow I had missed the garlic oil. This morning I gave them each a full dropper in about 1/2 cup of OJ to get it down. They drank it right up and I’m telling you within about 45 minutes both of them were running around like toy wind-up monkeys yelling and playing and going to town!!! I couldn’t believe it. It was just like an antibiotic for them - maybe better actually. I don’t know if this will work for your kid but it might be worth a try. As a side note it’s so strong make sure you give them food first. I think my older son didn’t have enough in his tummy and he complained of feeling like he was going to throw up. Now I’m not sure if this was from the garlic because strep can do this too but next doses they will each have more food on their tummies. God bless you in your search for health. :)
