Taylor Precision Products Big Read Dial Thermometer (12-Inch)

This thermometer appears to work well. And it's large enough that we can see it clearly from the house and it's mounted on our wood shed about 25-30 feet away without an issue. The problem I had is that directions for calibrating weren't included. I looked on the back of the box and the instructions were for inserting a battery for a clock, which made no sense. So it took some time it figure out that I just needed to gently turn the small box where the sensor is. That was it. I don't know what that's not included but... It works. It's easily visible. And the price was reasonable.

Great looking and very easy to read numbers at a distance, which is exactly what I wanted. However, the accuracy is way off. I kept it in the house for a day and it seemed pretty accurate. However, once placed outside, in an area shaded from the sun, the readings were way off. I'm amending my initial review... After thinking about it, I realized that I had attached it to a wooden fence that shielded the unit from the sun, but the fence was probably giving off a lot of heat since the other side was in direct sunlight. Once I moved the unit, the reading became much more aligned with the actual temperature.
