The Copita Glass

I love having an assortment of whiskey glasses and if you do also this is one of my favorites. I highly recommend it and have started using it more than my standard Glencairn glasses, it’s elegant, beautiful and functional. A high quality whiskey tasting glass that is also very cool.

I've tried several glasses for scotch, including the Pugeot Impitoyable, a blender's glass, and the regular Glencairn with a pedestal bottom that I generally end up reaching for. I bought the copita for tequila, but starting using it for scotch as it has the inexplicable quality of accentuating the liquid's color. It may have something to do with the shape having a lensing effect that isn't present on the tulip-shaped Glencairn. When I want to enjoy the liquid's color, the copita is the best for that. A blanco tequila will look almost silvery. The stem also makes it easier to hold and see what's in the glass, unlike the regular Glencairn where part of your hand is unavoidably blocking it. It's also small enough to concentrate the aroma. Highly recommended.

Great quality glassware. This has become my one and only while I am sitting back and enjoying the many different spirits I own. Highly recommend for those who want to get a little more out of their whiskey, tequila and other craft spirits.

The glass is beautiful, I thought I was buying more than one?

Nice tasting glass. Great price/value compared to others I use it for tequila and sherry mainly

Beautifully made and i find it even more capable than the whiskey glass at concentrating the aromatics. Buy it!

Love how having the cap on concentrates the aromas in between sips. Enjoy having the stem to hold and swirl my scotch. The combo is nice. I deduct 1 star for the fit and finish of the cap, it doesn’t sit on top of the glass very evenly. Given each glass is hand blown and slightly unique this is somewhat understandable though.

Very nice little glasses

Very nice whisky glass BUT it is too expensive to my liking and....very fragile. In quick succession I broke 2 of them when washing by hand. I won't buy any more of those, because the traditional Glencairn glass is much better, I mean much more durable (very short leg). This one - too fragile, although good quality and I have to say much more convenient to hold when tasting good whisky.

This is a great nosing glass; I prefer this over the glencairn but the glencairn is more robust. I haven't broken one glencairn yet but I have somehow managed to break two of these copitas. They're so damn fragile. If you slightly tap the crystal, it will break. If it slips out your hand as you wash it and it nicks a plate in the sink, it will crack or chip. You must be extremely delicate with this. The crystal showcases the whiskey's/sherry's colour beautifully. It is almost like looking at an Amber prism; absolutely stunning.
