I purchased this for my 92 year old mother, it works well for her. She is very hard of hearing in one ear, which often makes it difficult to carry on a conversation without having to raise your voice in order for her to hear. When wearing the headphones I can talk in a normal voice and she is able to hear, and understand, everything I'm saying. I also make sure to bring it to all of her doctor appointments so that she can hear the questions the doctors and nurses ask, and hear what the doctor says. This device has a rechargable battery and you can use disposable batteries too. It is also very easy for her to use, just slip on the headphones, turn on the device, and adjust the volume based on the situation.

If you're watching tv or listening to a radio at home or talking to your wife at home the unit works great. Like every other hearing aid when you have multiple hearing coming at you it's just too much and it's very frustratiing to try to listen to everything that is going on. It's not good in a car either. I would say it is like every other hearing aid but much less expensive. I use it for watchin tv and I'm happy with what I have.

This is a great amplifier for someone who for some reason cannot wear hearing aids. The only reason I put a 4- star rating is that the headphones are too big. They are adjusted to the smallest size and still slide off the head. There should be something that can be done for someone who has a smaller head whether it be a little cushion or something that can be added if needed. This is not a problem if you wear the earbuds, but if you don't like earbuds, there is no alternative that will fit better.

I have severe hearing loss, tried several aids and none worked. Then I tried these, they are super great sound is loud and clear. I now have my hearing back. Going to buy an extra pair for backup. Yes please bye this product, you can hear again.

An elderly friend is in the hospital, and obviously clear communication is essential as "a lot is going on". Without this device (her prior hearing device was accidentally broken), we were reduced to yelling in her ear. Having the device yesterday and today meant the doctor and I could explain to her what her condition was, what the doctors wanted to do, get her consent, and learn her preferences as between different options. I love it when she says, "Yeah. I heard you the first time."

I purchased this for my father who refuses to get hearing aids. This has been amazing for him. He can finally join in on the conversation and not just pretend like he understood. When he no longer feels like hearing us, he simply takes them off. He likes that it came with 2 different types of headphones.

Works to amplify sound in the proper conditions. Many times the sound has an echo but you can try to control that with the slider frequency switch on the side. The headphone and ear buds are not well made, like the kind you would buy at the dollar store. So use your own headphones or ear buds but beware of the impedance meaning some work better than others. Do they increase sound, yes, but do not expect miracles. Are they worth a bit over $100.00, that would be for you to decide but my vote is no.

It is so good to me that I bought two set in this week. one for me and another as a gift for my friend. Everything s great with device except one thing. I badly need a way to carry it under my shirts ( not clip on outer jacket due to earphone wire mass and bulkiness ) using a neck holder strap. it needs a hole or two in the case to attach string. it shall be great little thought for tone of convenience. if you have something make it possible now, please let me buy one. Perfetto nel mio caso. Lo uso con una persona anziana con forte deficit uditivo e che non vuole usare auricolari (anche se sono in dotazione). Le cuffie sono state provvidenziali e non sono costretto a urlare per comunicare.
