What's the difference between this and the cheaper and circular one?

It depends on your model. I have bought expensive ones and cheaper ones but not every one works or works well enough as compared to the wired connection for Apple carplay. The best way is to try the unit first and don't fall in for "because it is expensive it will work in the first place, and if it does end up working - it works perfectly (e.g. connection time, steering controls to switch out stuff etc)."

Will it work in a 2017 tiguan

I have a 2017 Golf R with the 6.5" MIB2 Infotainment unit and it works fine. Cheers,

Does it work in a Jeep gladiator 2020

We have tested on Jeep and it worked fine
