what is the shelf life ?

Mine have lasted a long time. Being dried peppers I feel they almost have an infinite shelf life. I guess over time they might lose some flavor.

Can you tell me if the plant equipment also processes tree nuts?

The answer to your question is in the product listing. Quoting the label, “...processed with equipment also used for peanuts, tree nuts, wheat and soy.”

They are dried but you would probably have to ask the manufacturer if they actually sun dried them.
