Shaft longer than needed
I love the motor and its ability to follow a recorded track. The Anchor spot works great. I suggest you get the shortest shaft that fits to reduce the vertical protrusion, which interferes with casting.

Minn Kota Terrova is a game changer
Best upgrade ever! I had a Minn Kota All Terain 4p that I upgraded from and what a difference. The Terrova is much easier on the battery, super easy to deploy and stow, has no trouble in the wind, and autopilot and spot lock are absolute game changers. Honestly I was worried how I would do with out the foot control and there are some instances where it would be nice. However, the handheld controller is great as you can be anywhere in the boat and control the motor without having to worry about a cable or cord getting in your way. Also about spot lock, one of my first tests I took it out on a very windy day to test the motor. I have a jon boat, and not only did it keep me in the spot I wanted to fish but the motor lasted over 6 hours of constant use. I absolutely love the Terrova and have had no regrets besides not purchasing it sooner.
