Zymox Advanced Formula Otic Plus Enzymatic Ear Solution for Dogs and Cats

My poor goldendoodle has had chronic ear infections since she got anaplasmosis from a tick bite (while on simpirica trio!). The last one in January turned antibiotic resistant. Every time we bring her to the vet, they give keto solution or otic. Her ears were so swollen the stuff doesn’t even get in there! They put her on steroids that made her crazy and still the infection turned worse. The keto solution sits in there making it a wet environment (if they are swollen some will seep down and they can’t shake it out due to swelling, or it just sits on the outside making the ear moist in general), perfect for fungus and bacteria to breed. After thousands of dollars and 3 vets all wanting to do things that don’t work or fix the CAUSE, I decided to not put any more cleaning fluids in (thank goodness for AI helping me make this decision) and just opt for this product when she starts getting itchy which is maybe once a month on air quality alert days. After her last course of topical, oral antibiotics and steroids which usually gave her two weeks of clear ears, I was prepared for another battle. She had 30 days of doxy, 14 days of another one and 7 days of another antibiotic! This destroyed her immune system. All of this because her Simpirica Trio did not work that is 200 for 6 pills (is this a scam?). And vets are not motivated to fix things since they would not have a job without chronic issues. I knew it would be rough. 2 weeks after treatment, like clockwork, her ears started back up. Instead of cleaning them more and taking her back to the vet, I got this stuff. Bam! It’s been 7 months without an infection. I also put her on Proplan fortiflora, proviable probiotics and I make sure her food doesn’t have corn, soy, wheat, or a lot of rice. A lot of the foods that VETS recommend are loaded with filler carbs! Carbs feed bacteria and yeast! Dogs need carbs, obviously just like we do but quality is important. Her food has better carbs like carrots and fruits so she still has energy. She still has itchy days because we cannot control all of her variables and she is still healing from the anaplasmosis, but dang this stuff works to keep her out of the vet and treatments that not only didn’t help, but made it worse. This actually worked to prevent infection and the probiotics have been instrumental in helping her overall immune system. Not only did it prevent infection for her but anytime she gets itchy, it helps in a matter of minutes and she can’t shake it out, it’s easy to drop in and thick. Would be nice to have a dropper bc it’s like a best guess on how much but what I’ve learned is that the sooner you get to it, the less you need and you can spot treat once it is totally clear. Life changing product when you love your pupper more than life. Worth every cent. I hope this review helps at least one other puppy and their pawrents that worry over them. Yes, bring your pets to the vet, but question them, and look for solutions rather than just going along with the plan. Find another vet that actually wants to prevent the problem, not just cytopoint it! Research it. AI is phenomenal now and we don’t just have to watch our pets suffer bc vets only have 15 min to talk to you; we can go in with questions and come to a holistic, preventative solution rather than just throwing antibiotics or allergy shots at everything.

Best name brand you can possibly buy for your dogs ears. Stops ear infections before having to go pay a lot at the vets office. Easy to use and keeps dogs clean and smelly free.

My doggie had a persistent ear infection, and the vet bills were getting ridiculous. They kept prescribing steroids and expensive drops that worked for a while, but the problem kept recurring. The zymox cleared it up in a few days, she quit digging at it, and allowed me to use it on her with no struggle. It was helping her feel better and was soothing the nagging itching. Great product, at least for this doggie and her poor ear!

This resolved my chihuahua's bad ear infection in 1 day! It was at that bad coffee grounds looking stage. Of course we will finish the othet 6 days for lingering spores. But wow was not expecting that fast of an improvement. She actually looked forward to it starting on day 2. I couldn't afford the vet anymore. It was $300 last time between the visit, lab culture test (to be told what I already knew), and the prescription. But this Zymox has BETTER results for only $33. This hand has earned my loyalty. The brick and mortar stores only have the blue label version which lacks the biofilm tech which makes a huge difference in stubborn cases. I will be trying their ear cleaner too now for maintenence.

AMAZING. My great pyrenees struggled with frequent yeast in his right ear for YEARS... no more $400 vet appointment just to be back in another 4 weeks. This transformed his ear OVER NIGHT. He went from constant head shaking...to absolute silence. Hes comfortable. FINALLY! After 1 use, it made a visible and physical change. His ear went from red and angry to turning the normal white/pink as it should be. If youre like me, with a VET diagnosis of regular yeast issues...get it. Try it. My Jackathy is proof that this stuff works wonders. He isnt in pain anymore, he didnt even negatively react to having some goop in his ear.

Best dog ear cleaner I have been able to find. I was previously using cleaner purchased from a veterinary office that only gave so-so results. This cleaner has a thicker consistency than most and contains hydrocortisone to relieve itching. My dog experiences reoccurring ear infections, but since using this for seven days, it has been five months since the ear infection has returned. Only negative for this product is that it’s thicker consistency tends to remain on the dogs ear flaps when they shake their head, allowing dust and dirt to accumulate. I recommend this product but caution, pet owners to make sure and wipe outside the air canal after dog has shaken their head.

This is the best remedy I've found for my golden retriever, who had been experiencing irritation because he kept jumping onto the table and eating human food. Anyone with a golden retriever knows they’re just allergic to everything, so that caused some skin allergies in his ears. I’m not joking—his ear was pretty bad, red, and also smelly. Once I figured it out, I cleaned it out and applied medication once a day for about four days. I could honestly see a difference: the redness almost completely disappeared, and the foul smell was gone, no more awful yeast smell. For the price, it was well worth it given how quickly his ear healed from any yeast. If you have a golden retriever that tends to eat things they shouldn’t, leading to allergy reactions, especially in their ears, I’d recommend giving this a try. He did need a bath afterward because the medication left his under ears a bit greasy, but that’s pretty standard with most treatments for ear infections I’ve tried.

This stuff works!!!! My beagle has ear issues with itching bad and the head shakes. I had her taken in to the vet and it was cleaned out with meds added and I left with $100 or more vet bill. My poor beagle had issues again months later so I looked on Amazon and found an ear flush that is amazing, but the issue wasn’t fully going away. I then found this product and gave it a try. No more vet visits this stuff cleared up her ear problems. It went from inflammation and dirty looking to a clear ear that is so clean and no issues. My sweet girl is so happy now. I highly recommend this product if your dog has itching, inflammation and the head shaking due to their ear bother them. I can’t believe how quickly and well this cleared my dog’s ear. It’s a heavier gel product too so it stays put. There’s also so much product to use. This will be a good thing to keep on hand instead of a vet visit for ear issues.

I haven’t had to go to the vet and pay hundreds of dollars for things to fix her ear infections since we got this stuff. I have a Chinese shar pei so it’s really common for them to get ear infections. This stuff is thick and doesn’t go everywhere, travels thru their ear and then you just wipe the excess. It’s great!

Wow! My dog had what I interpreted as excessive wax build up in his ear. He’s a feisty little guy and I could not get on top of it with mere cleaning and hair trimming. With a yeasty smell I turned to this product. The debris that came out of his ear was phenomenal, and now he is irritation free with a very clean ear canal. This product is highly recommended.

Had tried numerous different ways & products to rectify my cat’s yeasty ears which was giving her great irritation. Came across Zymox as a suggestion, applied once a day for 7 days- Problem solved immediately after one weeks use.! Even now a few weeks later she is irritation free and her ears are clear of black debris. Highly recommended.
