Hesnchel Hasts Aussie Breezer Camo Hat

This is my new favorite summer hat. I got it a little big (xxl) which is OK because a bandanna fits nicely underneath. I typically wear size 7 7/8. Love the mesh in the crown - it allows a nice airflow. The brim is nice and wide to provide ample sun protection. I haven't totally crushed it, because I love its shape and I want to keep it that way, but it seems pretty rugged. I took off the wooden bead and tied the lanyard into a double fisherman's knot, which makes it more comfortable, looks better, and remains adjustable. I highly recommend this hat for any activity that you need protection from the sun. Looks amazing too!

I need a lot of sun protection, with a substantial hat brim to provide shade. After years of floppy canvas hats that just look downright goofy (jokingly referred to as "chastity hats" at our home) and leather hats that were too hot to wear comfortably in the summer, I discovered Henschel Breezers, and have been wearing them ever since. I have bought four over the past 20 years (in different colors), and the quality has remained consistent. The brim provides good protection for my face and neck, the semi-open weave of the sides allows for air circulation, and the overall lines of the hat are quite dashing -- like a fedora, rather than a floppy umbrella on my head. I have one that has traveled the world with me -- you can compress it into a near-flat shape in a suitcase if needed and -- while the sides soften a bit -- it returns to the same basic shape for wearing. I've tried many, many sun hats, and these remain the best and my favorite, by far.

pros - the mesh really does let the breeze come through, nicely constructed in St. Louis, MO Availability of XXL. I have a 24" head the and XXL is just a bit big, which I prefer. XL sized hats tend to be too small Nice compromise between style and function - good sun protection and ventilation, but doesnt look as goofy as some sun hats has some structure to the brim, doesn't sag Cons - a bit heavier than some sun hats, but this the trade-off for the stiffer brim and cotton construction vs a nylon or polyester hat . Worth it to me have good looking cotton hat - not a crushable hat, I think if you stuff it in a suitcase you'll bend it up some. Perhaps it is flat packable, but it will require a pretty big space not to crush the brim. Again, a trade-off, because this hat looks better than more packable hats. The rawhide leather strap to hold in place is less comfortable than the soft, wide cotton strap on a Tilly Hat. You can certainly find cheaper hats made ex-US that are similar in design. Worth the extra few $ to buy from a company in US, but not all see value in that.

I'm going to keep it even though it is quite a bit too big (I can wear a baseball cap under it, and its almost just right). I need it for this weekend or I may send it back. It is not the sellers problem, but the shipping was a mess. It got "rescheduled" twice on its way to me, and I was starting to get concerned I wouldn't receive it by today (I got it last night). Over really pleased with the hat (Hurts the top of my head if I let it sit there, I'm working on making a sweat band that will help snug it up and keep it off the top of my head. I measured my head with a piece of string, laidd it out next to the tape measure, and it came out exactly 24" so I ordered the 2XL (I've got a notoriously large cranium, so I expected to need a little extra - an XL would probably have been perfect). No regrets, nice hat, hopefully works well for years to come.

Great hat. I like that you don’t have to be careful to not wrinkle it. It folks and comes back to shape after unfold it and reshape it. The mesh on top keeps my head cool and the very top is covered to keep the sun out. The is wide enough to shade my whole head and neck. Shading your whole head makes the heat tolerable. It’s light weight but heavy enough to stay on your head when active. The neck strap can be rotated to the back and its out of the way if you don’t need it. Good buy

I am not really a fan of the super floppy, looking like you are going to the Kentucky derby, sun hats that are available to most women. So I was happy with this style and the fact that they had larger sizing options. I usually find the one size fits all women's hats other manufacturers make a bit tight. And I like when a sunhat falls a little lower on the head and is comfortable for all-day wear. This hat looks good if you are in jean shorts and a tshirt as well as a cute day dress. It's more expensive than I would usually purchase for a hat but the comfort and quality and fit and SPF protection makes this a daily use item for me that I'm sure I will have for at least a few years to come. Use the sizing chart to measure your head for the right fit, I found it very accurate if you want it to be a little slouchy and not too tight. :)

Took this out west. It is not crushable, so packing it required some care, but was doable. Once out there and in use, the hat was fantastic, It provides excellent shade, particularly for the back neck and every breeze passes thru the mesh quite nicely. Also, I purchased the largest size for my size 8 head and the blessed thing fit quite comfortably!

I wear a XXL and this one is that, and then some. It's actually kind of nice to have one that is roomy, and I can put some foam under the inside headband if it bothers me. I am a gal, and often wear a high ponytail when it's warm, which is frequent here in Southern California, and so the extra roominess is appreciated. It's the little things that make a difference, and that is one of them with this hat. I like that it's got a western look to it, or as my friends noticed on their own without comment from me, an Aussie look. The box this arrived in was crushed on one side, and the hat was also slightly crushed. No packing or stuffing inside the hat, or even cardboard inside the hat to help it keep it's shape in shipping. That's too bad. I already left packaging feedback that although it is advertised as being packable or crushable, I prefer it not arrive in that condition because the mesh part is a little "bent" in one place, although after stuffing it tightly with wadded up tissue paper, it's relaxing and looks just fine now. The hat is substantial and a little heavy, maybe not the best choice for really hot weather, but the protection is good and that makes the difference and I accept the trade off.

Excelente sombrero, después de una primera compra en talla G y para mí gusto, me quedó apretado, y lo devolví; ahora si lo encontré en talla XL y me quedo muy bien, el diámetro de mi cabeza es de 60 cms.
