Mighty Paw Retractable Dog Leash, for Large Dogs, 50-110 lbs, Auto-Locking

Solid. Not some light, cheap leash. 👍

I have a 75lb deaf pittie who had destroyed the braking system on every retractable leash we have tried, except this one. She has a heart of gold but when she sees a bunny you just have to hold on for dear life. Part of the problem with other brands is the spring and braking system being made of metals that will corrode. This brand uses stainless steel which I believe is the reason it has lasted so long. Also, we use this on our boat with her year round and it has been submerged in salt water more times than I can count. We give it a rinse with the hose when we get home but other than that no special care. We have noticed that the soft rubber in the handle gets a little sticky sometimes but a quick scrub with soap and a sponge cleans it right up. The printing has worn off from the times it has been dragged down the pavement missing its human but again, STILL WORKS PERFECT AFTER 2 YEARS, AND ALL THE ABUSE WE THROW AT IT. We just ordered a small version as well for our MaltiPoo so she has the same length of run as her bigger sister. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! UPDATE: 5/1/2024 After 2 years 8 months of abuse, regular salt water and sand submersion, being dragged across pavement and being extended at the speed of a 75lb pittie chasing a bird or bunny as well as having the lock suddenly engaged to stop said pittie, the pin that holds the strap to the spring finally gave up. Not even a seconds hesitation, ordering another right now. Great product that will hold up to the worst you can throw at it!

Very nice retractable leash. Gives my 55 lb. dog a little more room to sniff around when we're walking and she's "reading the local news" left by the other critters. Had an issue once and was immediately sent a new leash no charge.

This was bought because our broke and it had next day delivery but it feels cheap. The nylon leasch looks extremely thin. I’ll be ordering a different brand because this one feels like it could break at any minute. We do have 100 pound dogs. So maybe if u have a smaller dog it’s ok but definitely not feeling comfortable for a big dogs

Good quality and strength

Great leash. Eventually wore out but lasted well over a year with a very strong 80 lb Golden Retriever tugging on it. Will never use another leash for Otto.

My husband described as the Cadillac of dog leashes! My girl likes to lunge at other dogs as the walk by and I feel confident eith this leash that I control her even in her attempt to lunge. The break grip is great!

My dog is 60lbs and can definitely pull on the leash if excited, but this leash has done well to keep locked during those pulling moments. I have only have two gripes: 1. The handle is slanted, which means while it's comfortable to hold throughout the majority of a walk, if the dog starts pulling, this angle means your wrist will be angled in such a way to make you a little weaker, which makes it harder to pull the dog back. This is a very minimal complaint, and I don't think I could dock a star for that design choice. 2. The locking mechanism can sometimes be finicky. If the dog is pulling at the leash and you wish to unlock the lead so the dog can roam about, it will not unlock until the dog stops pulling. Similar to a seatbelt, if it's tensed and locked, it won't release until you ease off it. In most cases, this is a good thing, since better it remains locked when you don't want it to than it unlocks when you don't want it to. However, there are also areas of extension where it won't let you lock. You could call these inbetween areas of the locking mechanism. If you try to push the button in the 'inbetween' areas, you'll find that you can't lock it and either have to let out more lead or pull it back in to get out of that 'inbetween' area. ^I've docked one star for this, since it may prove to be an issue for some, but I found that within a day I had a pretty good understanding of where these inbetween areas are and could quickly manuever to get out of it, and I imagine most other people will be able to do this as well. Overall, I'm very happy with this leash.

Hace poco compré otra correa que aunque mi perro es pequeño se rompió pronto, no duró casi nada, está la estoy utilizando y parece bastante robusta, me da la impresión que parece que durará algo más que la anterior, estoy contento con la compra.

Sturdy build, and indeed the leash doesn't get entangled even if it had been twisted. The quality definitely shows above the cheapo alternatives.
