Great patio paver coating and sealant. Looks great and minimizes plant growth. Easy to apply and dries quickly

I used about 3/4 of a gallon to apply two coats to a 175 square foot concrete paver walkway, installed about five years ago. Using a sprayer and high-nap roller, applying each coat and smoothing it out was easy. Each coat dried in under an hour, and the second coat brought out the low-gloss and color that had faded over the years. I appreciate that Dominator also helps harden the polymer setting sand, but evidently the ants living beneath still managed to tunnel through in a few days. I can see that this will be an ongoing battle.

I used the 1 gal Dominator SG+ Clear Acrylic Sealer on my concrete pavers and overall I’m pleased with the results. The product goes on very smoothly and levels out nicely — I applied it with a roller and the finish came out even with minimal bubbling or streaks. It brought out the color of the pavers and gave them a “wet look” enhancement that looks clean and refreshed. Application was straightforward and not messy; cleanup was simple and it didn’t require complicated tools or technique. After it cured the surface feels durable and protected, and I’ve noticed less dust and staining on the treated areas. My only disappointment is the shine level: it does add gloss, but it wasn’t quite as high-gloss as I expected from the description. If you’re looking for a mirror-like, ultra-high gloss finish you might find it a touch underwhelming — however, for a long-lasting, protective wet-look finish that’s easy to apply, it’s a solid choice. Tip: test a small area first to confirm the level of sheen you’ll get on your particular pavers.

I have used this every other year for a few years. It’s quite good, but be aware it can be very slippery, especially on even a slight slope. Be certain to order a gritty material that’s available and consider using it at twice the recommended schedule. I have sprayed and rolled it with equal success.

Great product, nice finish to my pavers

I wish I could give a negative star. Product was terrible bleached my concrete and left terrible stains. Now I’ll be spending the 4th with a chemical stripper and taking it off to use the product I used on my back patio at half the price. This had good reviews so I gave it a shot, wish I hadn’t

I just applied the first coat and have seen no difference in the look. I have a second gallon on order and maybe that will do the trick. I’ll update this after it’s applied. I do have some advice, though. First, order more than you think you need. Though you can do a small test area to test porosity you can’t really tell how much the whole area will need especially if you have mixed types of pavers. You don’t want to get part way through the project and find you don’t have enough. You can always store what’s left for a touch up in the future. Second, the sealer does create small puddles everywhere. Though these will dry you’ll still have an uneven coat. I used a paint roller on a 6 ft. handle to smooth it out evenly until no puddles were left. Finally, even though I shook the container thoroughly there were still small solids in the mix that could clog the sprayer. I poured the sealant into the sprayer and used a paint mixer attachment on my cordless drill to mix it thoroughly. No clogs! Again, disappointed with the first application and will update this review afterwards. Wish me luck!

Easy application and cleanup. Looking forward to seeing how durable it is. Seal and shine is exactly what I was looking for.
