No Batteries and multiple applications!
I have three sons and the older two boys had one each already. Fortunately I found another red one to avoid any arguments about who gets the daily favorite color, surprisingly a little bit of a challenge this year! I now have three whirling dervishes! The only rule I give them is "NO FEET!!" They are sturdy enough that they will try to use them as little step ladders or skates. I'm not at all worried about the Bilibo, but for the plastic toy sliding out from under them, hence the 'no feet' rule. The Bilibo is is extremely sturdy and has absolutely no give in it, even when I or my husband stand on them. We tested them out of sight of the boys - they came up with the step stool idea all on their own! They make great covered passageways for trains and cars, sit-n-spins, buckets for cleanup time, helmets (a la Spaceballs), little chairs for movie-time, etc. A bit pricey but worth having a toy that is versatile and inspires creativitiy and TAKES NO BATTERIES or MAKES NO GRATUITOUS NOISE. :D

Fun for all ages
I originally bought this for my daughter who is 18-months-old but she took no interest in it. I think it's too big and she had a lot of pink to choose from. Why bother with a red thing?! However, my sons LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. They take it on the hardwood floor and have "spinning" contests. This thing will go FAST! My six year old has much better balance than my four year old and he can go so fast it makes me wonder how he doesn't vomit. They've also used it as a shield for battle, using the holes as eye holes. I am sure they'll discover other uses for it in the future. This is just what they've come up with in a few hours. But not once have they asked to play with electronics! We have noticed that our kids act much worse when they play the Wii, DS, iPad, computer, etc so we're severely limiting them in the house. They got ZERO electronics for Christmas and between this Bilibo and other things they have not missed electronics at ALL! Bilibo = win!

Best toy ever
I will admit I debated and thought about buying this toy much longer than any adult should spend thinking about toys. It seems like such a cool different toy on one hand but on the other it's so simplistic I worried it would be boring and would just end up wasting space. When my 7 year old was about 3 I thought about buying this toy and decided against it. Finally last Christmas they were on sale and I figured why not and bought it for her almost 2 year old little sister. We have now owned this toy for about a year and it is a household favorite. It gets used daily and is the cause of many fights between my almost 8 year old and her 2 year old sister...they both want it all the time. In our house this toy has been used as a chair, a spinning chair, a balancing tool, a step stool, a boat, a helmet, a baby doll cradle, a space ship, a turtle shell, and a magician's tool just to name a few things off the top of my head. Extremely well made and versatile toy that was completely worth the cost. I'm actually planning to buy a 2nd.

Best spinning chair around
My son has been using these bilibo chairs for around 7 years or so now. He is nearly 12 and very tall but still has lots of room in this. He spins for hours a day. Yes after 6 months or a year the chair eventually cracks and we have to replace it but for the amount of use that it gets it is absolutely worth the money. Sometimes we've managed to get 18 months out of one. Will continue to buy for as long as my son fits in one.

Good Imagination Toy
I got this for my younger grandson for Christmas. He may be too little for it just yet, (he is two) but he continues to give it a chance. He seems to enjoy putting it on his back and he is a turtle, or sitting in it and it becomes a boat. He fills it up with "stuff" and carries it around. I think it can be about anything he wants it to be. I like toys like that. I also think this one may be around for quite a while as it seems pretty sturdy.
