Would this blacken soldering? I have some small brass parts soldered together. I would like to have all of them blackened. Thanks.

Best thing for darkening solder is a chemical called Novacan. It's designed for people that make stained glass windows and want to darken the solder in between the glass panes.

Harsh chemical removed the age finish of my faucet and drain. Will this help to restore?

It might, but not necessarily. It depends on whether the material of the faucet and drain are real brass, or only a veneer. If it isn't real brass, then using Brass Black might make things worse. If the material is real brass, then this can help. You may need to make multiple, light applications in order to get the finish to how you want it to look. Once you have achieved the finish you like, I would recommend using Renaissance Micro-Crystalline Wax Polish to help protect the finish. Best wishes for success with your project!

What kind of oil do you have to use to enhance the color?

I used gun oil, but any oil would work. Or even wax.

Will this work on zinc alloy?

No experience with zinc alloy unfortunately
