UPDATE March 2024: After 17 months of use, the RF protection is no longer present in this faraday pouch. It’s clear from other users of this and similar products that these pouches have a lifespan and are not designed to last in perpetuity. The only problem is there is no way to determine the useful life and the manufacturer doesn’t provide any guidance on lifecycle either. I suspect the failure point is folding the fabric multiple times per day. You basically have to test the pouch every so often to see if it still works. I’m not psyched about the possibility of a thief catching a signal between failure and the next test. Yet I’m not sure there are any other options. I have yet to see a faraday pouch on the market with a 100% success rate forever, and no manufacturer is willing to admit their pouch has limited lifespan. So, I’m planning on replacing these every six months. This particular bag is inexpensive enough to replace at that interval, and I know my current set lasted that long. Plus it’s generally well made otherwise. (Still haven’t gotten additional colors or a way to tell multiple bags apart other than putting tape on them, which looks kind of terrible.) Normally I’m not a fan of Amazon’s “subscribe and save” service, but if anything deserves it, it’s this product. Yet, it’s not even offered, which is a pity. ORIGINAL REVIEW: Works as advertised and intended. Feels like very nice construction and materials. The nylon outer fabric is sturdy and feels like a nice woven backpack material. The elastic band is fine, but I’m betting that’s the eventual failure point. I didn’t realize this until I got the package, but there are 2 bags to an order, not one. Makes these a good bargain. Deceptively simple fold-over construction. Probably not the bag to use while running. But should be fine otherwise. I have two big issues with the bag: 1) Needs to come in other colors, have a place to label, or otherwise natively tell these bags apart. I have 4 in the house and have to go buy some sort of charm or colored tape to tell which keys are in which bag. 2) The opening of the bag is slightly smaller than rest of bag and expands more past the opening. Limits what can fit past the opening. Can’t get more keys than the actual fob past the opening even though the bag once key is in has plenty of room. Would really like to get my whole ring of keys in the bag rather than having to keep the fob separate from other keys. Would probably buy again, but look hard at competitors with colors.

These work so well. I use one for my car key and use the other for credit cards when I travel. I have tested the signal blocking by attempting to unlock my car while my fob is in the bag, and it is a no-go. Even when I am next to the car, my car is unable to sense the presence of the key, which is exactly what I am looking for. These are small enough to easily fit in my handbook, but large enough to hold all of my cards and keys. I highly recommend - especially for travel, visiting theme parks, fairs, or any other place where your information might get scanned!

These do what they're supposed to. No signals leak from these pouches when your fob is in it. In fact, sometimes I forget the fob is in this and I expect the car to unlock for me as I approach. It doesn't. I find myself a little annoyed that I have to dig in my purse and take the fob out of this case, then I remember that's exactly the reason I got these. These are a bit too large for typical sizes of fobs though. We have BMW and Porsche fobs and these are quite oversized for either of these. That excess material makes it difficult to just slip in a pocket or purse. I turned them inside out, sewed then cut about an inch off the bottom and it's more compact and manageable now. I can still even fit a few credit cards in this if I want to. My phone (Pixel 7 Pro) is too wide to fit in here regardless of if I cut it down or not. There's an elastic band that you're supposed to tuck the top flap into. We find that we don't utilize the elastic at all. If the fob is fully in the pouch, the tucked in flap seems only as a safety so the fob doesn't fall out. I use a small lanyard and secured the fob to the pouch instead. It does it's job well and that's what's important.

Buyer Beware I bought a Mission Darkness cloth signal blocking Faraday Bag for my keyfob from Amazon, along with other products from their company & received this product on 10/31/25. The cloth signal blocking envelope only worked for 2 months, 19 days & now it won't block the signal, no matter how exactly I close it. I even put my keyfob in a plastic bag each time, before I put it in the Mission Darkness envelope to avoid any wear on the fabric. I was very careful to take care of the envelope. I am very disappointed in the quality of this product and how it stopped working after only 2 months, 19 days, which is unacceptable. I sent feedback to the Mission Darkness people and I hope they respond. I think they should replace the product as it did not last. This product doesn't appear to block the signal for very long or hold up to even the most careful use of it. If they correct this issue and the new product works for longer, I will update my review. Update: The vendor never got back to me or replaced the product despite me contacting them.

After watching a few videos about how thieves are now able to get entry and even steal your car, i had to get this. They are using a device that steals the signal from your key fob and transmit it to the car. I have purchased Faraday bags in the past from this manufacturer and I must say they are very effective in blocking out attempts. You can even put your RFID credit cards in this bag without worrying about someone stealing the info. I have tested this particular bag once I got it and I can say it works 100%.

It works. I used it for my car fob and when it's in the pouch and the cover to the punch folded over and tucked into place as the instructions say, I cannot open the car door. So far so good after using it for a few days.

First order for a Faraday Pouch pair was through another website. When the pair arrived, sitting in my vehicle, placed my keyless ignition keys in each one and the car started. Returned them immediately. This Amazon option tested the same way - when keys are in the Faraday Pouch - vehicle will not start. Mission accomplished.
