VoleX Kills Voles, Fast, & Easy to use
After the snow melted with a few days of warm weather with sunshine, I noticed patches of clover missing, and raised trails in our lawn. That evening I saw what I thought was a 4" brown mouse with a round face and a stubby tail. I looked it up and discovered we have Voles. That evening while sitting on our porch, I noticed two more grey voles. After researching how to kill them, I purchased VoleX on Amazon. Once I received my order, I immediately spread the pellets where I saw the voles. The next day I noticed that some of the pellets were missing, and some were chewed in half. The next day I saw only one vole, and I added more pellets. A week later I sealed the rock wall and stomped down on their trails. A week later, no signs of vole activity. I recommend wrapping VoleX pellets in plastic wrap because they are not waterproof and will lose their effectiveness when wet.

Did not work.
Did not work as far as I could tell. the Voles just pushed the product out of the tunnels with no reduction in activity in the yard. I resorted to the simple old mouse trap and took care of the problem in the first day.

You really need pounds of this product, not ounces.
I bought a few of these small bags and followed the directions and never saw a dead vole, but no new tunnels appeared around the area I treated at least for a little while. But they multiplied until my 1/2 acre lot was totally infested with the little buggers. I ended up buying a 50 lb. bag. I broadcasted it when rain wasn't in the forecast and over a year filled about 300 little plastic bags I bought on Amazon after tried wrapping a couple of hundred of them in plastic wrap. I poked about 500 holes in their tunnels over a two year period and put in the pellets. Anytime I saw what appeared be a fresh tunnel or mound I poked holes and put in the product. I still have voles but will say they aren't nearly as bad as they were when I saw the first tunnel. A few bags may help if you have a small problem, but if your yard is covered in them, you're are better off cost wise buying large quantities. Now I will say, my problem is unique because my house sits in the middle of a farm and there are voles outside my fence. When I broadcast the product, I apply it heavily around the perimeter of my lot. It's been a three year battle. I tried repellents first, and they seemed to work, but it a process you also have to continue broadcasting over a few day period starting from close to the house working toward the outside of your lot. Then they just come back because you aren't killing them. I know they come out the tunnels because I have found them in pool and the skimmer. Next time, in addition to the Vole-X, I think I'll get a about a dozen of those large bait boxes with poison now that my old cat doesn't hunt anymore. If you have voles, good luck because I don't think there is a "magic pill".

Effective and Safe Solution for Vole Control
Iโve been struggling with a vole infestation in my garden for months, and after trying several other methods, I decided to give this product a try. I am pleased to say that it has worked effectively in reducing the vole population around my property. Itโs safe for use around my pets, livestock, and even local wildlife, which is a major plus for me, as I have a small farm and a lot of natural animals in the area. The application process is straightforward and easy to follow. It doesnโt take much to spread it around, and once I did, I noticed fewer signs of voles in my garden and lawn within a few days. I appreciate that itโs not toxic or harmful to the environment, making it a responsible choice for anyone concerned about chemical products. The safety features, especially around pets and children, definitely stand out as one of its strongest attributes. The effectiveness of this product is definitely a win for me, but Iโve noticed a couple of drawbacks. First, the scent can be a bit strong, and while it doesnโt linger too long, it can be overwhelming during application, so itโs best to use it when the weather is a bit breezier. Second, while it works well over time, you do need to be diligent about reapplication. If you forget to refresh it after heavy rainfall, the voles can return more quickly. Overall, this product has been a solid solution for me. It's been effective at keeping the voles at bay without harming other creatures, and Iโm happy with the results so far. Just be mindful of the reapplication schedule, and you'll likely find it works as intended.

Attracts other pest
UPDATE! So you say now...this product might really be killing the voles. With the large scent of this product i couldn't help but notice how it attracted also RACCOONS! Who did more damage to the soil by digging up the places i put into the Vole tunnels! Remember, the scent is very potent...this is now the SECOND time Raccoons have dug up the vole tunnel places again, where i put the Vole bait. I ended up tilling the entire area along our fence line where the Voles travel in their tunnels. This seems to "disrupt" their lives, and they hate it...no activity now where i would find many many tunnels in our back yard. Don't use this product if you have a problem with Raccoons.......it will only attract them . Raccoons are VERY distructive cute animals....they are very smart and will come around when you are not there. VoleX seems to work.. but i can only say this by not seeing new tunneling in my yard. Time will tell dependant on your number of Voles in your yard. It is very dishartening to have to live your life around some little field mouse type looking Vole. I have tried several products to no avail I have hooked up exhaust from my garden tiller to their tunnels to no avail. i have tried flooding them out..only worms and snakes came out. I've smoked them, nothing happened...new tunnels appeared several days later. Voles are reproducing every 22 days! Who will win is an impossability. Have a great time finding what works. And the time you allow to hunt them down. It take s WEEKS to kill them if they eat the bait..so far so good. No new tunnels this week. Maybe this product IS working...it just isn't very noticeable the next day lol. GOOD LUCK Vole hunter....lol

No more voles! Poor instructions.
It took some trial and error on my part to figure out what works. Why? Because the instructions do not include the US west coast. The clue that helped was in the fine print: "Protect VoleX bait points from water damage as the baits should be kept dry." There was nothing else in the instructions that I found helpful. Now, on to what I discovered that really works: Because I water my flowerbeds and lawn, that is where the voles go. And that means the soil frequently is moist. To keep the baits dry, the only way I could get good results was by wrapping about 1.5 tablespoon of bait in a square of plastic wrap, wrap it up, and tie the ends together. Smells penetrate the thin plastic and voles have no trouble biting the wrap. From there, it is really simple: find a vole hole, gently insert a bait packet, and cover it loosely with soil. Best results happen when I can find 2-3 vole holes to bait. Next day, look for new evidence of vole activity and repeat the process. Same for the third day. After three days, there is no more vole activity in the area. There are no bodies to dispose of. Maybe they die underground or maybe an owl gets them (this is safe for anything except rodents). And that takes care of my vole problem until more move in from next door. I had mediocre results following the package instructions, but bought another package because I still believed bait is a better solution than those useless repellents. Then I came up with the plastic wrap packet idea. Now, success within 3 days every time! I just bought another pouch of VoleX, made my little packets, and stored them in a zip-lock bag ready for use the next time voles move in.

Not Effective
I put 10 packages of this in the vol tunnels. Bored a small hole in the top with a screwdriver, did not touch the granuals with my hands, pored a bunch down the hole into the tunnel, covered with dirt so it was dark. The Vols were not impressed and I have more of them than when I started.

WORKS QUICKLY
I tried for months to use a humane trap for the voles that had invaded my house. Finally I had no choice but to take a stronger option. No I couldn't afford a professional exterminator, so I tried this instead. Within 24 hours, the vole that had been enjoying my house at night was gone. Stayed gone until it rained. I've learned the rain washes them away so I have to add more into my walls after a good rain. I've found another dead vole in my kitchen, so I know they work. I'm just sick I couldn't catch these in the humane traps I set all over the house. But if you can't afford a pro, this works. I have dogs, but I put it in the walls where they couldn't get at this, but the voles could as they were coming into the house through the walls. Be aware, you will find dead bodies everywhere - but that's because it works.
