Sylvester Stallone spins a lighter, more romantic version of his tough guy image in Avenging Angelo . For his entire life, Frankie (Stallone) has been protecting Jennifer (Madeleine Stowe), the daughter of a mob boss named Angelo (Anthony Quinn)--but she doesn't know it, any more than she knows that Angelo is her father. When Angelo gets hit, Frankie reveals the truth. Having just caught her husband with another woman, Jennifer isn't receptive to the rest of her life upended; but after accepting her heritage, she decides to avenge her father. If none of this sounds particularly funny, well, it isn't; the problem is, it's supposed to be. Avenging Angelo flounders in search of a coherent comic tone and never finds it. Good acting by Stalone

I loved this movie
I thought that the movie was great! But the US domestic trailor made the movie come across different from the actual movie that is the only problem I had with the movie. The international trailor caught the entire feeling of the movie. I reason I say that the packaging was done wrong is because I think that the movie could have had a better following. At first glance, you think it is an action movie, but it is in fact a romantic comedy. The writing was funny and had a lot of heart. I thought that Sylvester Stallone and Madeleine Stowe were great together! I would suggest buying this movie if you enjoy a good laugh with some action.

Bought this movie for my uncle, he loved it.

Good View and we liked it a lot.
My husband likes this film so it was a present for him. We both enjoyed seeing it and there is a lot of humor in it.

HORRIBLE WASTE OF TALENT!!!!
Where should I start...Anthony Quinn was incoherent and difficult to understand...someone put him out of his misery and have him retire already....Stalone...well the name speaks for itself...Madeline ... why oh why did you get mixed up in this project??? Has your career come to an end?? Sylvester is obviously, finally off the steriods, because in this movie, he was so thin and drawn. He hardly had any muscle mass. It did not look like him...is he wearing a wig in this movie? One time box-office attractions got together and made this movie. WHY WHY WHY??? I want my money back, I want my 90 minutes of my life back. G A R B A G E and jokes were very corny. Stallone looked like he was sleeping half the time.

A pearl, so rare
This, people, is a rare pearl of a movie. It combines, so easily, elements of drama, romance and thriller (mildly the latter), with comedy (but not the dumb kind). Stallone is a nice guy, and as in Demolition Man, he very much profits from the woman by his side. That is the real-life connection here.

Independientemente de lo que pueda decirse de la pelicula, se avisa a los compradores hispanos que este dvd NO TIENE SUBTITULOS NI IDIOMA AL ESPAÑOL, a diferencia de lo dicho en la descripcion del producto. Ya esta avisados.

I liked it
This is not a typical Stallone movie. He has a gentle, comedic side in this. I really enjoyed it... enough to buy it.

Brilliantly funny
One of my favourite ever films, sly is so funny in it and the two leads have a great chemistry. The sort of film that leaves you in a good mood after you’ve watched it.

Aviso para compradores: En la descripción de los audios dice que lleva inglés, francés y español; no es cierto pues sólo está en inglés y no lleva subtítulos en ningún idioma. Además proviene de la Zona 1 (no lo especifica en la información) por lo que si no tienes reproductor multirregión (no es mi caso pues yo sí tengo) no puedes ver la película. Me he visto en la obligación de devolver el producto y pedir el reembolso del dinero pagado.

Edición basica, calidad infima
Me gusta regalar a mi pareja estas películas que no son del circuito comercial de sus actores favoritos, intentó buscar ediciones curiosas. Esta no lo es, es una mala edición y no es Oslo que sea básica es que su calidad es infima, casi parece una película de las que se ven en la televisión a mediodía. es una pena que Stone, Stallone y Quinn no merezcan algo mas. Por otro lado como siempre carece de audiodescripción, así que me veo en la tesitura de tener que describir yo la película. SI NO ES ACCESIBLE PARA TODOS, NO LO DEBERIA SER PARA NADIE. La cultura es un bien universal y no debería seguir sin ser accesible.
