UES APS-C Camera Sensor Cleaning Kit (14 x 16mm Swabs + 15ml Solution)

Works exactly as advertised. I was seeing “spots” on my macro shots with my Canon M6II camera (macros shot at F11 to F14 aperture). Using my “rocket” blower and the camera’s “cleaning” mode would not unlodge the multiple dust spots I could see on the sensor. Ordered this and took used two brushes (e.g., two separate passes) and all of the spots were removed except one tiny one that’s still left. It’s not showing up as a spot in my macros though…so might just call it quits. No streaking. Perfect! One tip: I followed the instructions carefully. Especially the part about not using too much solution….only a couple of drops….one on each side of the brush head. Pictures below show the before and after.

$18 well spent! This kit, and my steeled courage, cleared up the tiny bit of gunk that had landed on my Canon EOS R50's sensor on the first attempt! That will teach me to think twice about swapping out lenses underneath a tree in springtime. Before & after images attached.

I have a Sony Alpha camera and I use it a lot. I'm not a professional by any means, but I shoot a lot of pictures and video for a youtube channel and family stuff. During the last year and a half, I noticed my pictures and video started to display some spots. It got worse over time, and it came to the point that I had to spend quite some time editing every single shot to get rid of these spots. After inspecting the camera, I realized the spots were on the sensor. This is a mirrorless camera. I contacted the local Sony repair shop to get the sensor cleaned, but they told me they were extremely busy and it would probably take them a couple of weeks to give me back my camera. I was very hesitant to clean the sensor myself since I have heard the horror stories from DIY sensor cleaning at home. I did a little research, saw several youtube tutorials and got the courage up to do the cleaning myself. I got this sensor cleaning kit. The instructions on the package were basically identical to what I had seen on youtube. Took me less than a minute to clean the sensor. The results were spectacular. I am attaching the before picture with several arrows pointing to the spots and another one after the cleaning which I shot pointing to a wall at my house. There is still a faint spot on the top left, but I think that one is on the lens, since after the cleaning the sensor became spotless. I definitely recommend this cleaning kit.

Cleaned up my sensor rather nicely, I’m extremely pleased with the results. The only complaint was that I had to use extra cleaning swabs because you’re only supposed to use each swab once in each direction and with it not covering the entire sensor, I had to use multiple swabs to make multiple passes.

For my specific sensor (Canon R100 APSC), the swabs are slightly smaller than the sensor. I don't know if this is intentional, but it doesn't really matter. Works very well at removing dust if you follow the instructions.

This kit worked just fine for the APS-C sensor on my Nikon D7500 bodies. Cleaning fluid included is enough for many cleanings, since in only takes one or two small drops. Hint: if you have a very fine lens brush with bristles which extend 3/4" or more from the end of the container—a blower is ever better—it really helps to remove all loose dust from the sensor and inside the chamber beneath the mirror before going after spots that have dried and need to be moisturized before attempting to remove with the cleaning wands. That really helps. Otherwise, when the slightly damp wand is applied across the sensor, dust can collect along the damp edges of the wand and prevent it from cleaning the stubborn spots. Too much cleaning fluid on a wand may leave tiny droplets that dry resulting in different spots; just a barely damp wand edge is enough.

Bought a k&f kit, left terrible streak marks after all 6 swaps. Bought this one after seeing so many raving reviews. First swap, it didn’t clean that one dust spot that’s been bothering me but the liquid evaporated immediately without leaving any residue, that boosted confidence. I used 2 more, 1 wet 1 dry. The sensor is now spotlessly clean. Awesome product despite the swap size is a bit smaller than my fuji x-t5’s sensor.

La pulizia del sensore è un'operazione delicata, ma facile da eseguire. Ho trovato questo kit davvero ottimo, seguendo le istruzioni si fa tutto in meno di 10 secondi. Io l'ho appena usato per pulire il sensore della mia Fujifilm X-S10 e non ho riscontrato difficoltà. Ho spento il ventilatore per evitare pulviscolo nell'ambiente, ho tolto l'obiettivo e dato diversi colpi di soffietto sul sensore. Poi ho poggiato la macchina fotografica sulla scrivania, ho preso uno swab, l'ho imbevuto con due gocce di soluzione e ho proceduto con la pulizia: da sinistra a destra una volta, sempre da sinistra a destra una seconda volta (stavolta ruotando di 180 gradi lo swab). Fatto, pulitissimo! Io notavo diverse macchie rivedendo al PC una fotografia su sfondo bianco. Dopo questa veloce procedura sono sparite. In teoria il sensore potrebbe anche tenersi sporco, è difficile e forse raro scattare a f22. A diaframmi fino a f8 non si vede nulla. Dovevo comunque procedere con la pulizia perché avevo un altro problema, una specie di graffio che vedevo sul sensore che riproduceva sulle fotografie una sorta di pixel bruciato di colore bianco. Fortunatamente non era un graffio, probabilmente era un pelino microscopico che non veniva via con il soffietto. Con due passate di questo prodotto è sparito. Per me e per la mia esperienza, consigliato! P.S.: qualcuno, anzi tanti, dicono di non aver timore di pulire il sensore perché ha una resistenza simile ai vetri degli obiettivi. Sarà vero? Io penso di sì.

Maybe mine needed deep cleaning, maybe I wasn't proficient enough at it, who knows, since a couple of the other reviews had better results. I used up quite a number of sticks but the sensor wasn't even half cleaned. Ended up bringing it to a service. At least no damage to the sensor at all so that's good to know.

Estoy muy contento con el resultado. Tenía el sensor con un par de manchas en las fotografías de haberlo limpiado de mala manera. Con tan solo 2 gotitas, un hisopo y 4 pasadas ahora la lente está perfecta y las manchas han desaparecido de las fotografías. Tuve que hacer 4 pasadas por que al menos en una Sony Alpha a6000, la anchura del hisopo no cubre todo el tamaño del sensor. Se me antoja un poco, pero es cierto que si no se evapora el alcohol de la botellita, tengo para una buena temporada.
