I have several pairs of metal shelves that I have had for years. After a recent move, one the the insertable screws was lost. I called the shipper, but they were not able to help because the shelves were out of warranty. I told them that I was not trying to get the hardware for free. I wanted to buy it from them. They were still not able to help. They said they are only the shipper, not the manufacturer. I said, "Okay, give me the manufacturer's contact information." They said that they didn't know who the manufacturer was - they were some place in China. So, I was forced to search on Amazon, and of course, I found the inserts. What a happy circumstance. These screws for my shelves perfectly, and now, my shelves are fully assembled again. The inserts fit perfectly. They are strong and even though they are a bit expensive, I'm glad I found a perfect fit.

really needed to replace the ones I used to have for my metal shelving unit. Left the whole baggie of clips and slides in my previous apartment where the owner tossed it. So was quite surprised to see I could replace quite easily for a decent all the hardware I needed to put my shelving back together, can get on 3 different sizes from 1/2" to 1". Have enough left over so that If I find more parts to shelving at a yard sale or what ever, I can put together another one.

These were supposed to fit my model rack, but they are too small. I don't know where on earth they carry my size, but I was not about to send them back. It's too much of a pain in the neck, so I pulled a MacGiver and here we are. I only needed one of these things (thankfully), but it's too small for the extra large chrome rack. Maybe it would work for a smaller one, but when I searched for replacement parts for my specific model, these came up.

These actually fit the 1” poles for an HDX wire shelving unit. The first order for Howdia brand were too small and did not fit. Thank you!

The most helpful and unhelpful item in the world. I really needed one because it went missing when i was moving the shelf but it came in a four pack so now i have to decide to throw away the other 3 or let it sit in my house for the next 10 years hoping it will be useful. I am conflicted let me know what i should do

Fit and work great. Although its doesn't seat completely hidden within the rod like the original part that came with the shelf, it does its job flawlessly. Most definitely worth it.

These fit the Amazon basic black metal shelf I bought from Amazon a while back. The inside opening measured 7/8 inches, when I measured it. Be sure to look closely at the center ”ridge” as it was different from the original. The original was one ridge while the ones I just received are 2 ridges. As I bought a set of four it is ok. Otherwise it would off set the height of the poles and thus also the shelf connectors: the shelf wouldn’t sit straight.
