BAGSMART Compression Packing Cubes for Travel Essentials

I purchased this pink 6-piece set of compression packing cubes, and overall I am very happy with them. They are a little smaller than I expected compared with other packing cubes I have used in the past, including other compression cubes, but the labeling feature was a big selling point for me. What I like: • Pretty pink color • Great for suitcase organization • Helps separate clothing and travel items • Label insert feature is very useful • Comes with blank cards you can fill in • Makes it much easier to know what is in each cube • Helpful when all the cubes are packed full • Especially helpful when living out of a suitcase and not fully unpacking • Zippers seem good quality • Zippers work pretty well • Durable pull cords on the zippers make them easier to grab and maneuver • Mesh panels help you see what is inside • Lightweight and easy to pack • Foldable when not in use • Good for keeping items from shifting around inside luggage • Laundry/shoe bag is useful for separating dirty items or shoes from clean clothing Things to be aware of: • The cubes are a little smaller than I expected • The compression is not drastic • I think they work better for organization than major compression • The compression is similar to other compression packing cubes I have tried • I usually use the compression feature when a cube is not completely full to help keep items from moving around • I also use the compression feature more on the way home from a trip when I am less worried about wrinkles • Compression can be useful when you need extra room for things accumulated during travel • If you expect these to dramatically shrink everything, that may not be realistic • For me, the organization is the strongest feature Overall: I really like these packing cubes, especially for organizing a suitcase. The compression feature is helpful, but I would not say it is dramatic. I mostly use the compression when the cube is not full or on the way home from a trip when I need more space and am not as worried about wrinkles. The label insert feature is my favorite part because it makes it so much easier to know what is in each cube, especially when I am living out of a suitcase and not unpacking everything. They are a little smaller than expected, but the zippers, pull cords, mesh panels, and labels make this a very useful travel set for me.

I have purchased these for our last trip to Sweden but allowed my daughter to use it for her trip to Florida and haven't seen them since. So for our vacation last week I had to order more and fortunately they were not only on limited time deal, they arrived that same day! Score! I ordered two so my daughter would have her own and another set for me. As usual they were a lifesaver. Since we were driving for this vaca we had limited space with the five of us. I forgot how much two teenage girls pack. I think they believe we are going to a far off land that does not have stores because they said they were only bringing a few things, we had a washer and dryer at the rental home, but they brought EVERYTHING and then bought more when we arrived. My goodness. Anyhow, for me these did as expected and minimized my clothing into a small carry-on luggage so the girls' massive amount of luggage would mostly fit. We ended up taking two cars. Mostly because of the amount of luggage the two teen girls had and my husband carries a lot but he has to carry his computer for telemedicine so I give him a pass. The adult boy had a large duffel. One of these bags held 8 pairs of shorts, another 7 t-shirts, and the last all my underthings (socks, bras, underwear). And, I still fit in my Bagsmart shower kit (the large one that hangs, not their smaller one) along with two pairs of sneakers and 3 pairs of sandals! In a carry-on I tell you. As a woman that is quite impressive. I did the same great packing job for Sweden with these compression packs. They are wonderful and I would not travel without them. Even when I overpack them and cannot compress them completely they are still so durable, allow me to pack so much more in my luggage, and keep my items free from wrinkling. Also, TSA doesn't seem to open them. I would definitely recommend them and they are often on a deal so the price is always great. I purchased the pink and the navy this time but they come in many, many other options. The first time we had teal and red I believe. Don't forget them on your next trip. I just took these on a 2 week roadtrip, and was impressed by their quality, light weight, and compression ability. They look and feel more expensive than they are, and I’m glad I chose them over much pricier brands like CALPAK or Eagle Creek. To get the #1 concern out of the way, I loved the zippers and fabric on these. It felt really durable, and I *really* put the compression zips to the test. These cubes are super flexible, and will help you organize in whatever system makes sense for you. For me, keeping my pants in the large bag, tops in one medium bag, and the next stop’s outfit in the other was great. It was perfect for tossing between my main suitcase and mini bag on the fly (we needed to go across many climates). No more worries about staining clothes if they drop on the ground in between stops, since everything was kept tight and protected. I’d recommend going for a package that prioritizes normal rectangular storage bags, not mini novelty bags. I didn’t find the very small narrow bags particularly useful; socks are a natural fit there, but they’re so easy to wedge into shoes and bras that I didn’t find this to actually save any space. One downside is that your clothing will likely be wrinkled when you arrive if you use full compression. Obviously, this is more likely with fabrics like linen, but I found it to be an issue for my cashmere as well. Do not recommend compressing lofty ribbed sweaters. Overall? I am so happy to have joined the packing cube community, and plan to keep using these for all of my travels. Will invest in more medium and large cubes. Added bonus is that they will all store inside of each other in between trips, super small footprint.

This is the second set I have bought from bagsmart, I like it that much. I bought this one for my husband, but I’ve been using a set for over six months. The compression is amazing going from approximately 4” to 2” easily, I am able to fit 3 shorts and 4-5 shirts in the medium size including without issues. The zipper quality is excellent and the material has help up great without any tears or pilling. I can easy fit 2 weeks of clothes into a carry on using these bags making them very travel friendly.

These are exactly what I wanted!! Here’s the summary but keep reading if you like juicy details: • Great quality zippers and fabric - I don’t worry about it tearing when I’m zipping the compression (but probably still smart to do so carefully) • LOVE the size options - perfect for organizing by type of clothing and easier to Tetris into luggage than more typical ones • love the little pockets included at the bottom of the smallest cubes - didn’t even know it had those but will come in handy! • it’s easy to be tempted to overfill because it seems so roomy when it’s not compressed, but just remember that the compression feature isn’t magic. But it’s also nice that if you do want to overfill and not compress you can too. Choose your own adventure! I’ve been shopping for compression cubes for months now and had a million different ones sitting in my cart, but was too afraid to commit to a set because I was worried it wouldn’t be THE one. I already have two sets of pretty standard packing cubes but have never really loved them, so if I was going to spend $30+ for something I didn’t really need I wanted to love it!! Well, due to an upcoming trip and me running out of time I was forced to choose one, and these were love at first sight! It has all of the features I wanted and they are great quality. The thing I’ve never liked about my old packing cubes is how big they are, because I always had to mix clothes together that I didn’t want to mix (ie swimsuits with pajamas, shirts with bottoms, etc). It was also a pain to pack because the biggest size always took up almost an entire side of the suitcase and really limited what else you could add to that side. These cubes, in my opinion, are PERFECT because you can organize more strategically with the smaller options and pack Tetris style to fit way more. I also love that there’s a little clear pocket on the top of the cube to add a label for each cube for what’s inside! I didn’t think I needed a laundry bag because I usually just bring a garbage bag with me for that, but this will be much classier (ha). As I mentioned above, it’s tempting to overfill because it seems like there’s still so much room left when it’s not compressed, but that feature isn’t magic so just be mindful of that when packing them. But it’s always an option to just stuff it full uncompressed! Anyway, there’s always a risk that you’ll get a damaged product but in my opinion, you will be happy with this purchase!!

One of the bags has a set of blank labels, and they are very handy. This is 7 days worth of clothes with at least 2 outfit per day (work trip, have to have different clothes for dinner each night.) Plus sleep clothes, socks, casual clothes, travel day clothes, and an extra shirt and pants just in case I need them. 4 pairs of jeans in one bag. I like the sizes, any larger would take up too much space and make the whole idea of saving space moot. I got 2 sets of the 6 pack, and they are perfect. The compressing wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t hard either. I got them all closed, and they’re all very sturdy. I thought surely I might rip a zipper off, but nope. No problems. Material is great, I like that they still get to breathe even after compressing, unlike plastic compression bags. I did wash them first, on gentle, and they air dried quickly. But I wash EVERYTHING before using. Recommended!

These were great! Just used them for an international trip. They helped me get all my clothes in just a carry on. Zipped them up multiple times and no issues so far. I was impressed with the zippers, compared to other ones I have had in the past.

Nice travel bags but lacks in the compression department. Would be more useful if they were bigger, doesn’t fit a lot of clothes
