Fertile Hatching Eggs

Update: I rehomed a couple of cockerels and these are the ones I kept. I love the variety you get with barnyard mixes. Previous: I couldn't be happier. As a first time hatcher there was a good chance none would hatch. I had an issues with the incubator or I probably would've had better success. I received 2 pale green eggs, 2 large white eggs, the rest were varying shades of brown. One of the white eggs didn't have any development past day 5. All the rest were fertile and developing until around day ten. The lid of the incubator wasn't closed properly and it lost a good bit of heat and humidity that took about 30 mins to recover. After that I count myself lucky that any made it. I have 3 of the black and cream colored chicks, and one yellow chick, one w/a distinct chipmunk stripe and a fuzzier chipmunk stripe. Day 5 and they're all doing well. The one bit of information I wish the seller would disclose is what breeds/hybrids the chicks might be.

Poor success. We had 2 hatch out of 12 from this breeder. There for not worth the money spent. Some eggs never showed any signs of anything while others looked half full but never continued to grow

Update: I incubated all eggs. 9 ended up developing. As previously mentioned, I was stressed about incubating dirty eggs. I’ve never done it prior to this. I was really prepared for any outcome. I am so happy to report that all 9 have hatched since early yesterday. They are all very healthy, healthy chicks! I would buy from this seller again! Very dirty eggs. All but two were covered in poop. I won’t debate whether or not you can incubate poop covered eggs or sanitize them. Everyone has a different opinion. I sell fertilized eggs as well and never send any that are covered in poop. (Probably because I keep all of my nesting boxes clean). I decided to incubate anyway. Only six are developing. Not the sellers fault. I must also mention that the eggs were well packaged and all arrived undamaged from shipping. I’ll be happy with any that hatch, just not the cleanliness of the eggs.

I had purchased last year for the first time from this seller. They were packaged well. There were a couple that were dirty and had poop on them. 9 out if 12 hatched. I do this for my kindergarten class and share the experience with the school. I kept 3 of the 9 that hatched. I love how they were all different. This was the first time I did not get any white eggs and I clearly had different breeds, all beautiful. Two looked like penguins and one gray, which was the only hen. The only problem was that 8 of the 9 were roosters and where we live, our cities do not allow roosters so they all had to be given away. Hopefully they were bred and not eaten.

Do NOT purchase fertilized eggs from this seller. I am very experienced when it comes to hatching eggs, I've been trained through Penn State Ag, and have hatched HUNDREDS of eggs in my classroom over the past 15 years. I always have a 100% hatch rate and our embryology project is always very successful. This year our local hatchery had no fertilized eggs to sell, so I tried ordering a dozen from this seller. 7 out of the 14 eggs were not fertilized. Out of the 7 remaining eggs, 6 of them had bacteria inside and were dead within a few days. I have never had an issue like this and now I have 300 disappointed sixth graders. Using this seller was a HUGE mistake and a waste of money.

The first thing I noticed was it took a couple days from when the label was created before the eggs shipped. No worries, I waited and then they shipped. I received the eggs in 2 days, considering the distance this was really impressive. The eggs were packed very well. Opened to find them all looking really good, with only a very small amount of chicken mess. Makes sense, they are unwashed eggs. Most of these eggs are very large. I candled them all and no noticeable cracks. After resting I put them all in the incubator. On day 7, 9 of them are progressing well, 2 was tough to tell with the shell, and only one appears to potentially be infertile. Can't wait to see how many hatch and what they are, it's going to be a fun surprise! Definitely would recommend, and I may be a repeat customer!

I ordered a dz eggs but 15 were sent. All 15 eggs hatched with no problem. I was very happy with the outcome since I was only expecting maybe 6 to 8 eggs to actually hatch. One died a few days later, but the other 14 are doing well. I would recommend this seller.
