Todd McFarlane became a superstar illustrating the Amazing Spider-Man, but he changed the industry forever with his next project: the "adjectiveless" solo title SPIDER-MAN! Taking on both writing and art duties, McFarlane ushered Peter Parker into a gritty new era - and it began with Torment! When blood washes the Big Apple's streets, the webslinger heads into the sewers to stop the homicidal rampage of the Lizard. But what is driving his old friend and foe? Plus, in the ultimate Nineties team-up, Spidey joins X-Force to battle the unstoppable Juggernaut! COLLECTING: SPIDER-MAN (1990) 1-14, 16; X-FORCE (1991) 4 Review: A great compendium of some really good stories - This is a beautiful book containing some really great Spider-Man comics. The last couple of issues included (not the first 13 of "Spider-Man") don't have the same impact, but the art is still nice and they complete the intended collection. The book was shipped to me in a nice, secure fashion and it arrived (to my delight) with absolutely no damage. I gave this as a gift to a huge S-M fan and longtime friend of mine. He is younger than me and did not read these when they were new. Todd McFarlane's Spider-Man art came in the early 90's at a time when the use of glossy pages (rather than newsprint) and black framing around each picture were just starting to be common. These comics really pushed the limits of what was available for high quality art in a comic book and set the tone for the next 20+ years of comic books. I was very glad to be able to share then with my friend. I recommend this for any real fan of either McFarlane or Spider-Man. Review: Calidad - Gran libro

Worth the price
When I got the package I was hyped! And when I picked up the book from the box the weight was satisfying, I knew I was spoiling myself with a lot of pages of action from my favorite character of all time. The drawings were littered with so much detail, the issues were attention capturing, and gave me something to look forward to everyday. Loved this book. And it is welcome to my comic collection!

McFarlane's swan song to Spiderman
I love the omnibus formats. This one is no exception. McFarlane's art pops in this format and I have always been a fan of his art and storytelling. Can be wordy at times, but his visuals are beyond amazing. If you can get a copy of this in the omnibus format, then do it.

It's so pretty I don't want to open it.
Say what you will about his story telling and dialogue, his illustrations are the standard I set when trying to find a new book to read. The back says it all: "The book that transformed comics. I've been a Mcfarlane fan for a long time this omnibus is a staple for his career. Launched the day before my birthday couldn't of come at a better time!

ICONIC
This is the iconic spider-man in the 90s where Todd Mcfarlane recreated spider-man. The art is iconic. A must have for collectors and artist. One of the best comic to collect.

Must-have for early 90's Spidey fanboys like myself.
For me, it was Todd's version that redefined Spidey forever. Never before and after the character was so awesome. Till today I hold any Spider book drawn by him dear to my heart (I even forgive Todd being sort of repetitive in writing department). I was very glad to find this issue being printed and I pre-ordered it without hesitation. Typical 90's style over substance Todd, but man, I just adore it even if half of the feeling is just the sentiment.

Excellent omnibus
If you love Spider-man and you're a collector, you know this one shouldn't be missed. The art work is top-notch including the absurdly intricate webbing. If only this omnibus weren't so thin...
