Saves a lot of money and works fast
This stuff is magi, for the dog owner with a dog that has an unpredictable and easily triggered stomach. My smooth Collie Aisling, eats anything that doesn't eat her first and is healthy as a horse, never really gets sick, as in a bug of some sort. But she has a reactive gut that explodes when you least expect it, leaving pools and trails of liquid poo while we sleep. She has always been this way, since we got her at 1.5 years old (she's 8 now). The vet ruled everything possible out and just told us she is like a human with IBS - never know when it will be triggered. They don't sell the original Kaopectate in stores any more, it is now just a different brand's version of Pepto. Petco has the original kaolin pectin formula in a dog med. Eight ounces for $14!! When I found this, nearly the same price for a gallon as the little bottle at Petco. This is a miracle for dog diarrhea, I am hooked. This has saved us thousands of dollars over time, and is good to help out before you get to vet, or if your dog has been found to have no parasite, just a gut bug or sensitive innards, this is a lifesaver. Twice a day in food and it takes very little time to work. I highly recommend this as a regular product to keep on hand. We have three smooth Collies, and saves a lot of money for us just on Aisling, our delicate blossom LOL

Easy on the stomach and treats diarrhea for sensitive dogs!
My Siberian husky is 11 yrs old and hyper sensitive to everything from food to the smell of mop water. Medications became untolerated by my girl. She vomits pills even if i crush it and put it In her food. This Kaopectalin is the only thing that helps her bowel movements. Which can range from runny last year to soft on occasion this year. I'm so thankful for the med and that my girl can digest it! If your pet is having issues that cause diarrhea or soft bowel movements first 1. Get your pets bowel movements tested especially when you can drop off a softer sample/example. 2. Request a broad-spectrum dewormer, request to re-dose your pet 3 weeks after the first dose because intestinal parasites hatch from protected eggs again at that time. Repeat again a month or two later. Amazon has a Bayer brand dewormer in the shape of a bone that works excellent. 3.Make sure your pet is on a monthly heartworm prevention - they do carry some intestinal worm protection. 4. Prescription dog food from your veterinarian called gastrointestinal low fat - there's a canned version that's easier to digest and there's a dry dog food version. There's a stronger formula called fiber response - same kind that's good for most dogs that can handle that much fiber. Another option is to make white rice and canned pumpkin and Boneless skinless chicken for a while. Mixing in your dog food slowly. 5. Probiotics are a must - proviable capsules are great. Simple. Or zesty paws probitoic digest pills r wonderful but stronger. There's an optional kaopectate and Probiotic flavored chew tabs you can get if your dog won't take the liquid. Called pro-pectalin on amazon but combine with food listed or cooked as i described. Find a sensitive stomach food that does not say grain free and turkey or lamb is easier on the stomach than dog food chicken or beef. Because dog food is not for human consumption which means not human grade. I cook my own dogs food. I recommend a food intolerance test - see 5strand dog test on amazon. This is how I found out what to cook my dog that she can eat without allergic response. Do this also after dewormer to rule out anything else. The only dog food brand I will use after tons of research is natures logic canned and dry. No raw and no grain free, but anything else. I hope this helped someone

Works for horses
It is a good price and good size container. It seems to work well for my horse for occasional use.

Great value, works very well!
Pup has some chronic digestive issues... this has worked the best out of 4 other smaller bottled brands and is a great value. Itโs does contain artificial sweetener which is a bit of a bummer. I will definitely purchase again, but hopefully not for awhile!

Doesn't taste as good as Kaopectect brand.
Liked this mostly because of cost. Every month our dogs get their heartworm preventive which gives them diarrhea. We give them Kaolin pectin to prevent diarrhea. Works great!

Best Product for diarreha and upset tummies in dogs..
This is an outstanding product. My Vet recommended it 30 yrs ago and I have been using it ever since. It is used to treat dogs with diarreha and upset tummies. It works extremely well. For my 20 pound terriers, I give them approx 4ml with a oral syringe into their mouths. It immediately works and it has saved me thousands over the years in Vet bills! I often give 8 oz bottles to my friends that have dogs and they love it too. A++++++

Kaopectate
I was so glad to find this. They no longer make kaopectate for human consumption, and I use this myself as I am a chemo patient, and nothing else works. They have replaced the kaopectate formula with bismuth. Basically Pepto Bismol, which doesn't work for me, and I can't give to my cats because of the aspirin in the Bismuth. The price was terrific, and believe me, when nothing else works, this is a gift from the gods.

So glad I don't have to take bismuth subsalicylate
This is the stuff Kaopectate used to be made from, and it works wonders on my system. The bismuth subsalicylate that's now in Kaopectate and Pepto Bismol, can only be taken for a few days and can have side effects. One thing I should say is that it says for veterinary use, but i cannot imagine my cats going near this.
