Great board
Fun a little hard at first but good to use

Great Beginner Kit
As a hobbyist, I appreciated all of the items I could tinker with to discover working with the Pico. Yes, they are simplistic, and the book is only a minor help. But for getting started and getting your creativity flowing, this kit works. Fooling with the basic parts allows one to stay thinking of possibilities, which is really the goal here. For example, I worked with the neopixel ring, then thought I'd how can I integrate the PIR sensor into it. Learn to stack one skill with the next, and you're off and creating.

Good Kit
Nice kit and you get the pico. Lots of decent components here like the LED's and the little displays. It's a good price if you want all the stuff, cheaper than trying to get it all generally since you're going to end up with a lot more stuff.

Good kit... kinda.
Seems to be a good kit for the price. Some of the things included were sloppily assembled, which required me to re-solder a few components. Like every other single IR sensor I've ever purchased, this one also came with a big 'ol greasy fingerprint smeared right on the sensor window (attached photos)... you know, the sensor window that we're always warned never to touch because it can interfere with the operation!

Header pins arenโt soldered, but otherwise itโs a great kit!
If you do not solder, do not buy this kit. You are expected to solder the two rows of header pins to the Pico before you can do the projects. You cannot use this kit without soldering. I was originally not impressed when I read the Pi Pico announcement. The world already has Arduino, so why do we need a Pi that is not a Pi? But after playing with this kit and exploring the specs of the Pico, I am very impressed. Itโs quite an impressive board, and light years beyond the Arduino UNOs that I have mostly been using. After soldering up the cables, I was able to install Python and get a blinking LED goingโฆ which is fun because I donโt know Python. I was not able to figure out the steps needed to get the C compiler running on Windows, but Python seems easy enough. You can install a runtime Python interpreter to the Pico and make it so it powers up and runs the Python script. This is going to be great fun.

Excellent starter kit
This is a great starter kit with everything you need to get going. I think the price is exactly right for what it contains and you can get a lot of mileage out of just what's in this kit. It's very much in line with what you'd get from CanaKit and other brands that sell similar starter kits. In fact, it seems like the exact same components they use as well so you really can't go wrong with this kit if you want to get into embedded systems similar to the Arduino. Just remember that the Pico has more in common with Arduino than it does with the regular Raspberry Pi. It isn't a full computer on a chip, it's more for embedded systems and hardware programming.

Not for beginners
Very little to no information available for beginners

I bought three, these are fantastic fun.
Great kit. This has everything you need for a weekend of projects. Great value. I bought three, for the matrix's, lcd screens, neopixel rings. The pico is included. Only a Pico (1). Tho it is more than enough computational power for most projects.

Watch out for many versions
There are many versions of the Raspberry Pi Pico Basic Starter Kit just as there are Arduino Starter Kit. GeeekPi one is cheap and have limited sensor projects. There is a good handbook to go with the projects. I love the LED project.

Nice little starter kit
Decent little Pi starter kit. Comes with the non-wireless Rasberry Pi Pico, a number of components and sensors, and a little kit to hold it all. Only real complaint I had was that the instructions for the projects were basically to drag and drop files. It gave no practical experience with coding in CircuitPython. Aside from that, components are decent quality. Few bent pins here or there, but nothing that couldn't be straightened out or adjusted. Gave it 5 stars because even with the lack of instruction on coding, the kit has great bang for its buck. Definitely recommend.

fun fun fun
Within 30 minutes of opening the box I had loaded and tested the onboard blinking LED, temperature sensor, and 7219 LED matrix functionality. Following the little booklet got it working once the free Thonny software for MicroPython coding was installed. There is lots of detailed info (and code) available for these kit projects on YouTube, various blogs, Instructables, and github.

Excellent first learning kit
This kit is essential for the Raspberry Pico kit. In my case, this kit was useful for my IoT class.
