Would this be safe to be used on a plastic tank. Just abit worried of tank cracking/shattering depending on magnet strength.

It is a strong magnet, but I would imagine if you were careful when ‘snapping’ the two bits together you would be fine, because you are just dragging it across the tank. I would think damage would occur if you weren’t gentle when snapping the two bits together, if that makes sense!

most times its Usually its because of light if you got a good light source on all day and most of the night it could be that also if your tank is getting sunlight through a window .try cutting down the times your tank is lit for also try things like armano shrip.snail or alge eating fish your local pet store will be happy to sell you what they have in that will help ,hope this helps also try youtube im sure theres plenty of good information on there
