Tasty, Crunchy, Not prohibitively expensive
Wow. Really yummy. Better than Goldmine and slightly better than Superkraut’s. I’m on my 2nd jar of the Classic and it’s about as perfect as you can get. The texture really sets it apart. It’s more of an irregular chop rather than shredded and it’s crunchier. Also the brine is not overly sour, and no single taste note dominates it. It’s the only brand with brine I can drink without getting nauseous. I definitely recommend it for people who don’t want to make their own, and for anyone who wonders what the big deal is with raw, fermented kraut, this is a good one to try because it’s a bit less expensive than the others. Including the fresh ones from WF and Mom’s Organic.

good flavor
I thought I would try this, and I do like it, it is a bit expensive but after buying other brands less expensive, I feel the taste and crispness with this is good.

Really wanted to like this
I was so excited to finally receive the fermented cabbage/carrot and beets/jalapeño/cabbage bc I love sauerkraut and esp kimchi. However, it tasted nothing like sauerkraut that I’m used to, it was almost bland. I thought maybe bc the juices didn’t fill the whole bottle, so I dried to dig deeper to get to the parts that were submerged in the liquid. However, it was just as bad and didn’t taste fermented at all. Just barely salty and no flavor. So disappointed, especially since this was SO expensive.

Helped improve digestive issues
After doing some research (online) I wanted to find a way to increase my good gut bacteria naturally without taking pre and pro biotic pills. I came across and article about consuming raw, unpasteurized fermented veggies as a GREAT source of pre and pro biotics. I have not been disappointed in the results. My digestive issues have improved dramatically. I don't believe this to be a placebo effect either as I have been trying to remedy my GERD, indigestion, heart burn, and "other" issues for months now and they have finally improved by adding this. Highly recommended for this reason. Also, it does taste pretty good, but if your intention is to just put it on a hot dog, there are much cheaper options out there.

Bad batch or what ??? Same as last time !!!
This sauerkraut was always the best one out there !! I guess that’s why I’m so disappointed. It was the best, but I could afford to buy it all the time as I would like to because it quite expensive but it was worth it. The taste was simply wonderful. To my big surprise the last one I bought is horrible !!! Doesn’t even remind the taste of the previous ones. When I received it I immediately could notice that the color was different than usual. The when I tasted it just confirmed my suspicion. Big pity because Hampton’s was always the best. Not anymore.

I think that the flavor was perfect - more mild than commercial.
I think that those who find this product "bland" in flavor are those who are accustomed to store bought, commercial sauerkraut, which is traditionally loaded with vinegar and salt. There is no vinegar in this and the sodium content is low. I LOVE IT! I find the flavor excellent and the fact that it is raw and unpasteurized (guaranteeing a higher content of probiotics) is an added plus. I will be purchasing again!
