The best non digital meter out there
A perfect tool for your garden that works quickly and efficiently. Gives genuine moisture readings at a range of depths and has an easy insert probe that is solid in design and easy to clean. Holds it own against any digital moisture reader. A great purchase.

Works well, super easy to use, no batteries required (cannot replace or recharge battery)
Very happy with these no battery, no fuss moisture sensors for pot plants. So easy to use, just insert into the pot plant's soil, watch meter response for soil moisture content, remove and wipe probe tip clean with a soft cloth or paper towel. I've given one to a friend who has pot plants and usually kills them! The instructions don't say how far to insert the probe into the soil but I reckon at least an inch to get an accurate idea of how moist the soil is. If there's resistance, you may damage roots, so probe gently or try another spot. The top layers will dry out more quickly than further down, and make sure the pot is not sitting in water or the roots may rot. It's important to clean and dry the metal probe after soil testing, or it may rust. I found the meter to be very responsive as soon as I inserted the probe into soil. As you can't replace the battery, I have no idea how it will last before you will need to replace the whole item, which is not very environmental in the long term. There is a Plant Watering Guide on the box with a long list of plant names - some I am familiar with, but many I'm not - they're most likely plant names that are familiar to Chinese gardeners (item made in China), but not to many Aussies.

Great product
It's nice to know when a garden or decorative plant needs or doesn't need watering, and this little device eliminates all quesswork, and save water too, not to mention plants that can easily be over watered! I love it!

Received quickly and in good shape
Both meters were received in good working order and appear to be working well. My previous meter lasted over 10 years and so good value for this tool.
