Game-changer.
I don't play hard or heavy, I don't play rock. I play jazz and some funkier groovier styles. So can only comment on how they work in this context. And for this they are utterly superb.I immediately bought another pair just out of fear they may get discontinued.I can finally practise and *know* I'm not bothering anyone instead of *hoping* I'm not and trying to keep it out of my thoughts.I combine these with low volume cymbals (the type with the holes in them) and e-drums (because I could never get on with the e-drum cymbals) and play the e-drums through a small amp turned down very quiet. With these sticks just added this set up allows me to play with unrestrained movement and feel and it produces an overall volume I can barely believe as it's so quiet. Finally technology alone has given me the drum set up I need. I had been thinking of saving up for a soundproof studio in the garden. No need now.I adapted to the slightly different weight and feel almost immediately.Strongly recommend if you do a lot of more intricate, lighter, groovier, funkier, more swinging practise. Possibly useful for other styles too but I can't comment.

They work very well
These are great. I have a drum kit with mesh heads and quiet cymbals but it was still too loud, regularly going over 85db. With these sticks the sound level is kept noticably lower. The new tip design works well. I don't have the old design to compare it to.I'm aware that I have to play more gentle with these sticks. They are made of plastic. They could break.

A great alternative to 'hot rods'
I bought these as I need to be relatively quiet in our rehearsal space, and I'm not keen on the dowel rod style sticks intended for that purpose. I was tempted by these as they looked to be a similar size to hold onto as regular drumsticks. They are of course lighter than regular sticks, but they do have a decent bit of weight in them so don't feel flimsy. And they do what they're supposed to do - good sound, less volume! My only dislikes are aesthetic. I don't like that the place where the tip is glued into the tube is exposed, as it just looks a bit messy. And the sticks themselves look pretty wrecked pretty fast, as the plastic shows up all the dings significantly. I'm planning on getting some sort of decorative tape to remedy both these issues.

Great silent sticks
Good reduction of sound on drum heads and cymbals. There is an understandable reduction in feel/technique when compared to using regular drum sticks, but they perform their function well. Seem well made and should last a while but overpriced for what they are. For silent practice late at night I use on a couple of moongel pads to play around with various sticking patterns/rudiments and it is the quietest setup I have found, really almost silent. Techniques available using this method are limited but it is ideal for me when too late to play on a standard pad or acoustic kit.

Not much quieter
Because the sticks are lighter and feel more fragile I can tell I put less energy into stokes, but if you play single hits you can't really hear much of a difference in volume. It is a little quieter, but isn't going to be much better for neighbours so recommend mesh heads or pads instead.

client drum sticks
They work very well and make less noise than standard sticks

Great concept. Lousy design
I wanted a light stick because I play light. They lasted 40 minutes before one of the tips sheared off. There has to be a way of getting a lighter / quieter drum stick. This isn't it

Not for enthusiastic drumming unfortunately.
Well, they are a good way of reducing the volume. You do have to make sure and play with the tips to achieve this, that can be a bit of a challenge as these bend and allow the hard plastic rod to make contact with your cymbals and drums. Additional damping is still required though - they are not a one stop fix.Durability - terrible. 2 jams and one snapped about 1cm below the ‘tip’. Impossible to use these with any form of enthusiasm.

Un 10
Espectaculares. Buen agarre, rebote similar al de una baqueta normal. Reduce bastante el sonido sobre los pads de mi batería electrónica. Un acierto.

Two gigs with them and I'm sold
To be clear, these will never replace my favorite sticks. But even though I am generally not very heavy handed with my sticks and have learned to play with controlled dynamics, sometimes certain requested songs really need that "full drum" sound, but the volume standard set by the venue makes it difficult to use sticks. And I'm not a fan of using brushes, broom brushes, rutes, etc. purely for volume control as they shift the timber/tone of the kit significantly...and not all musical contexts lend itself to their effects. Thus enter these so called "Silent Sticks".What I like:1) They do their job while still allowing for a fairly full drum sound. Whether riding on the cymbal/hats, playing tom grooves, disco patterns, half-hat punk patterns...these sticks delivered. I even had folks come up and compliment me on how well the drums balanced well with the rest of the band and in the room. They would inspect my setup. The playing cut through the band, but did not overwhelm the venue.2) They are lighter than 7As, BUT they still have weight thanks to the rubber grips that make it feel like I am still swinging something.3) They retain a good rebound and don't feel dead on the strike. You can double stroke on it or do a hihat mohler technique easy enough.4) Aesthetically, I find them pleasing and professional looking. I know what matters most is the sound and handling, but this added cherry on top is welcome.5) It pairs well with the RhythmBytes Groove Lite small venue cymbals as well as my Paiste PSTX's. I can get doesn't crashes with them let alone decent riding sounds, too. However, be mindful of...:1) You can only really strike anything with the tip. For example, the abs plastic is a hollow tube, so to crash a cymbal with the shaft risks breaking it. It even warns you about that in the packaging. So as long as you use as intended by them, they will last. That said, I do get good crashing results with the tip...and if you pair them with thinner cymbals like Paiste PstX's you can have massive control over volume while retaining a good quality sound.2). My usual grip is traditional, but these sticks seemed to not work well with me in that group. So I switch over to match grip. No biggie. Traditional tends to get me a thinner result with them.3) With regular sticks, you can shift the timber/tone depending on where on the head you strike. With these ones, you are pretty much limited to staying at the center of the drum of you wish to maintain a good usable tone.4). Though you can do multi-stroke rules, I wouldn't generally advise it as the results sound too weak. Single strokes provide the tone I am looking for. So you'll get very comfortable doing 16th's on singles.5) To get the best tone, you do need to provide a strong stroke. All in all, they aren't my favorite sticks! But they are my favorite sticks for situations where I need to tame even my controlled playing. In fact, I will be ordering a new pair that way even if one breaks, I'll have more ready. It has become a necessary part of my toolkit.
