Uhhh it's really Awesome! The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't always recognize a new application to swap the configuration to that set. Just Alt Tab and it fixes itself. It's great though especially as I've been using it for Zbrush and I can label all the convoluted hotkeys I have. I don't have to dig through menus anymore or write a stupid sticky note will all the hotkeys I mapped and what they do! The LED screen is definitely the best part and it's a fairly nice quality and weight. I really like the feature to swap the orientation. They really thought of everything when making this product

The Xencelabs Quick Keys device is extremely well designed and works seamlessly across my setup. The buttons are responsive, the dial is smooth, and the overall build quality feels premium. It adds a lot of efficiency to my workflow, especially for creative software where shortcuts matter. Setup is simple, installation is quick, and the software is intuitive to customize. Connectivity is stable whether using it wired or wireless, with no lag or dropouts. The device is lightweight but still solid enough to stay in place during use. The display is clear, the customization options are excellent, and the available color themes for the UI are a nice touch. Overall, this is a professional-level shortcut controller that performs reliably and feels great to use.

The build quality is excellent. The battery is between good, but not excellent if you use it without the cable. The minimum device sleep setting I found in the software was 30 minutes which I think is way too high. There should be one for 5, 10, or 15 minutes, so this probably a key factor. This brings me to software. The problem with this device is the software interoperability, not the quality of the software itself. In other words, the quality of the software is very good, stable, and very polished, however the functionality it offers you is somewhat flawed in its design. The biggest gripe is that you cannot quickly move macro buttons around in your layout easily. You currently have to set them up individually each time you want to move them to a different button. I reached out to the company and they said that this is already in the works to be addressed. I was very glad to hear this because there are 5 button layouts you can have for any application for a total 40, and you can have any number of app settings in addition to your main OS default settings. There are few other design issues I found but they are much less annoying, but you should know they have a Feedback forum and their support was also prompt and helpful with my complaints. That being said, there are other nice features, like adjusting not just the color of the dial ring but also its brightness for each individual setting, which is very useful for example making red or yellow extra bright while turning a white or blue dial on the dimm side will help you a lot when switching quickly between your dial modes. One last thing I want to say about the software is that you can rename your 5 macro sets for each application. By default they are called Set A, Set B, Set C, up to E, and when you switch applications the device will automatically update the screen to show the last used set for the application. When pressing the set switch button the device, the current app name and the set name will show. You can also disable sets altogether. All these things are very useful to know! You're welcome. Now let me share some experience as a MacOS user. The reasons I wanted a macro pad was because I copy and paste a lot of content and I need to do a lot of "raw pasting" which strips formatting from copied text and the keystroke for this is Command+Option+Shift+V. After doing this hundreds of times I had to find something like this. When I received this product, first was that the default macros that were programmed in had CTRL as the keystroke for buttons like Copy and Paste. On Mac you know that CTRL is not correct, so you have to change them to Command. Not sure why but look out for that. Something important, there are some macros which, if they are also used by macOS must be disabled in System Preferences Keyboard>Shortcuts before applying in Quick Keys because they might get activated while trying to apply them. For example, I was trying to set up a Space Left and Space Right macro for moving between Spaces in macOS which use CTRL+Arrow Left / Right. However, since these activate while trying to add them to the Quick Keys, the software could not add them. Once you disable the macOS shortcuts, you add them in Quick Keys and once you do that, you can go back to System Preferences and re-enable them in shortcuts to work with your regular keyboard. This might not happen for all shortcuts but just something else to look out for. Final thoughts. I definitely recommend this product. The pictures do not show the build quality this device really has, it's definitely premium. The software is a worthy product on all of its own, even with its somewhat inadequate design feature are more of a flaw in human logic than in the quality of the programming used to build the application. It could be that they did not expect this product to be as successful as they thought. Well, the fact that this company maintains a feedback forum, and the support was friendly and responsive, speaks highly of the company behind this fine product. I'm a satisfied customer!

When I changed over from an old Wacom tablet to a new Xencelabs tablet, I saw the combo kits that came with these quick keys and talked myself out it thinking they would be a waste of money. Fast forward a few months and I started to realize how helpful these could be within some of the photo editing programs that I use extensively, so I ordered it on a whim to give it a shot and was instantly impressed. The first thing I noticed unboxing it is that the build quality feels substantial, much like their tablets. It does not feel like a cheap plastic accessory at all. It was also paired up and working within just a couple minutes since I already use the Xencelabs software with my tablet. Customizing it is also fairly quick and easy to do, there are far more customization options for the buttons available than I will ever need but the way it works, you don't notice that in use so you aren't flipping through tons of modes with empty buttons when they are not in use. For any photographers that use Photo Mechanic or a similar program to do your heavy image culling, setting this up to work for your exact culling process is amazing since it is wireless. I can sit back comfortably at my desk and quickly cull through thousands of images with all the controls I need on those buttons and using the scroll wheel rather than hunched over the desk at the mouse and keyboard. No, it's not necessary; but I will admit it is a nice luxury to have! I will also say that the Xencelabs software also makes it really simple to export all the custom settings from one computer to import on another computer and be able to have all the same settings ready to go on another computer without any of the setup time.

I'm apparently not the target market for this, since all the talk is about compatibility with drawing tablets and usefulness to an artist.. but this thing is great for anyone who needs configurable smartkeys and/or a scroll wheel. I mean, the stupid little one-handed wired keyboards and whatever else you can get cost orders of magnitude more for devices that lack half of these features. To be honest, I only found it looking for something to save my mouse-scrollwheel finger from an early death, and it's not quite a perfect replacement for that (for some reason this wheel's "scroll" function is unable to scroll some things that the mouse wheel can, but it generally works the same in most places.) But it's great for tons of other purposes beyond that. It's wireless. Instead of M1, M2 etc macro buttons, it has an OLED display that has customizable labels for each button, and it lasts about a week on a charge despite that. There can be 6 different sets of buttons with different shortcuts/macros.. for each application you configure settings for. The actions/scroll rate and profile colors of the jog wheel can be customized for each application as well, with 4 different modes available to each different set. So, for example, it can be a forward/rewind, volume up/down, switch captions, and previous/next in playlist selector for your media player, with self-labeled buttons for 36 different other functions like play/pause, and can do all that from on the desk next to the book you're reading, across the room from the computer. Or your most important but easily-automated spreadsheet tasks from handy reach of your outstretched thumb from the mouse hand. - Exceptional versatility and priced in the range of a 6-button mouse. Can't go wrong with that.

The unit is really well-made and no part of it feels "cheap". Really solid design and components, from the unit itself, to the USB cable, to the case - and even the box! The concept is great: the dial has 4 modes and the modes have multiple "sets". Setting it up and programming the dial/buttons was quick and easy. I didn't realize until a day later that it is wireless, as well as wired. Even better! The dial is smooth and the buttons are really responsive. I bought this to use on a PC with video editing software as my existing Shuttle died over the past week. Once I had everything set up, it worked really smoothly and was a pleasure to use. No regrets at all buying this. Unfortunately, I am returning this item, but NOT due to any issues or deficiencies with the product itself. It just doesn't fit my work "flow". It has to warrant me moving my hand off the mouse to use it, and it doesn't quite fit that bill for me. I wanted to give it the 5-star rating it deserved and comment about what a great device it is before the return. Very few hardware returns have brought a tear to my eye, but this one does. LOL. I hate seeing it go, but I know it's out there if some other future need arises that this would work perfectly for.

I adored using this and thought the dial had the exact level of tactile feedback I like without feeling too floaty or too crunchy. The buttons were easy to program and switching between profiles and programs was intuitive and simple. That being said, one day it just stopped working; the launcher said no device was detected even though it showed up in the configurator, and the device itself said it needed to be connected. Well that connection never happened even when I made sure all the drivers were updated both for Xencelabs & my PC, after verifying bluetooth on multiple occasions, AND it no longer worked even when cabled (which is how I was connecting it before without issue). I didn't connect via the dongle but thought maybe that could be the issue, even though I didn't rely on it before, but I had lost the dongle during my move and so purchased a replacement one. Even then nothing would work. I turned every stone but was not able to get it to reconnect through any method. Too bad because I really liked using it while I could, but then yeah it just stopped one day even though nothing had changed. I think the device itself is a 5/5 but the reliability has been a bit shaky from the start and is ultimately what made me stop using it, so I'm giving it a 3/5 since this issue will affect some but not others

It can be a bit of a pain to set macros, as the software doesn’t stop the operating system from performing functions when entering macro keys. You can get around this using sticky keys, but its a pain. Beyond that, this is a very handy gadget for office use. It helps me streamline processes at work. Connecting is fast and easy. It has good battery life and a nice screen. The dial is nice as well. $100 was a little pricey but overall if you do a lot of the same functions repeatedly, this is a god send

I’m using this as a macro keypad and it’s amazing, works on both my Mac and windows. Software would auto switch to my custom shortcut depending of the software. The text makes it super easy to remember what the keys are. After a year the bottom rubber is falling. Which is annoying but a little bit a glue hopefully should fix it

Excelente produto e bem melhor do que equipamentos da Elgato destinados a streaming deck. Cheguei a esse dispositivo buscando algo em que eu pudesse facilitar a abertura de certas aplicações em meu computador. O suporte ao Linux pesou e muito na decisão e foi determinante. Esse teclado programável vem com o adaptador sem fio e um estojo para transporte. Ponto negativo, que não tira estrela nenhuma, a Microsoft fez o favor de bloquear alguns recursos do Windows, principalmente a abertura do Teams e apps instalados através da loja. Portanto, não é possível add alguns apps como atalho. Outra coisa que me incomodou, mas pode ser contornado, a impossibilidade de controle do volume como atalho no computador usando o lixo do Windows. Em breve estarei migrando para o Linux e será mais fácil realizar certas ações e criação de macros.

Overall a good product but I didnt like the buttons. Hard to press and not responsive as I’d like.
