Excellent,clean and fresh copy of a book I had before just that it's smaller and goes upto gigers death....

As much as I loved the films, I’m not completely convinced by the art. Daughter LOVES it, this book was well received.

Fantastic book, print quality and finish, really solid quality throughout... I think Giger's work is very abstract and amazing from an illustration context.I think as another said the book is multilangage, for me that's not too much of an issue but I didn't notice at first when I purchased the order.

For all collectors of Gigers work you must purchase this book. For the price and amount of work displayed within this incredible tome the price is just a steal. Taschen always delivers on beautifully crafted and bound collections but this surpassed all my expectations. If you want to get to know more and are new to Gigers magnificent work this is a perfect starter book to purchase. It has a complete range of his work from his early years right up to those he worked on up until his untimely death in 2014....RIP. As a completest of everything that has been released regarding this wonderful artist I will honestly say this new book fits my collection perfectly. I have a feeling this book like so many of his other collections will definitely rise in price so get it now at this give away amount.

Amazing item. Can't fault

The magic inside this special book is insane, Giger's Harkonnen sketches are a thrill. The book is basically a brick, same size and weight. Because of the scope of the art you wish the book was bigger simply to take it all in more but you get over it.

I liked this HR Giger art work book because it is all clearly presented and in full colours with readable writing on the pages of the book. It is a book of classic masterpiece HR Giger Art creations. The Aliens artworks are all original HR Giger works. A truly brilliant and intelligent collection of alien drawings and strange designs. It feels like looking through strange dreams.

At the time of writing, this is currently the best career spanning compendium of Giger's work that can be purchase a) new and b) at a reasonable price.Text content-wis,e there's nothing to complain about, once you get your head around the non-standard way the text is spread across multiple languages.Unfortunately there are 2 pretty big (ironic) flaws with the release.1. The size.Why Taschen, a renowned publisher of quality art and photography 'coffee table' books, chose to release this as a (roughly) A5 sized book instead of a more premium size is beyond me, especially given all previous releases enjoying a larger size and of course considering the highly detailed art pieces contained within.2. Poor Layout.Because of the ill conceived choice of releasing this in such a small format, many of Giger's more intricate pieces ('landscapes' etc) are printed spanning two pages.As with any two page spread this will inevitably result in a certain amount (and often the main focus) of the piece being lost within the natural crease where the two pages meet. This effect is massively exaggerated by the small page size, meaning some pieces are distorted so much as to actually be insulting to the artist.But.... while we wait for a new, decent sized alternative, this (I'm afraid) the best Giger book you will find.

Nada más tenerlo en las manos, se nota que es un libro de gran calidad, con unos acabados excelentes propios de esta edición. Es una compra obligada para cualquier amante del arte de H.R. Giger. Por la calidad y el tipo de edición, estoy convencido de que muy probablemente acabará siendo una pieza de coleccionista en el futuro. ¡Totalmente recomendado!

I’m not sure how Taschen - the publisher of this book - is getting away with selling this for $25. This is easily a $50 book.There are 500 pages chronicling Giger’s work from the ‘60s when he favored India ink, to the ‘70s and ‘80s when he switched to airbrushed acrylic paints. Not all of his work can be found here, but there’s a wide variety that serves as the perfect tour of his history. Almost all of his art is sexually explicit or grotesque, and I’m glad his untampered work continues to be preserved several decades later.This is not an oversized book like his Necronomicon series, and does not serve as a replacement for his older published works. The pages here are smaller, leading to many pieces being spread across two pages. Coupled with the thickness of the book, this makes viewing complete pieces rather difficult, even with spreading the pages as flat as possible.This is also a multi-language book. There’s a biography by an Austrian art curator that’s written in English, German, and French, which leads to the unfortunate side effect of having several wasted pages of the same text repeated across three different languages.Despite these issues, the layout of the book is exceptional. The art is presented in chronological order, each piece labeled with a caption detailing the medium used, the surface painted on, and the dimensions of the piece.For a Giger fan, this purchase is a no-brainer. The smaller size makes it a perfect fit on a bookshelf, and easy to carry around. If you have even a passing interest in art, do yourself a favor and buy this book.

Ich liebe seine Bilder und die Welt die er geschaffen hat. Und sehr schönes, hochwertiges und interessantes Buch. Viele Informationen und eine große Auswahl seiner Werke. Ein muss für Fans seiner Kunst.
