Useful device at a great price
This Bluetooth 5.0 receiver is compact, easy to use and a very useful component to allow you to add Bluetooth functionality to older devices such as a car stereo or hifi sound system in your home. All you need is to have a Aux port or Phono connection on your sound system. It's that easy! The Sonru is very easy to set up, it contains its own rechargeable battery, so no need to have it connected to cable all the time. It comes with all the cables you'll need. Connects to Bluetooth quickly, signal is strong and the sound quality is good. Would recommend, happy with my purchase.

Simple, versatile and Practical
I recommended and purchased this for my Wife as we're both motorcyclist, iPhone users and music lovers that like to listen to music on the move. The iPhone doesn't have a headphone jack so we have been using BlueTooth receivers for several years (also by Sonru) but unfortunately both our had started to cut out onto one channel. They were many years old and the sound quality was good so we wanted the same again but it seems that the models we had was nolonger available. I chose this as I couldn't find anything else that compared. Fortunately even though it's not a transmitter/receiver as we had before, it's simplicity (one big on-off/start-stop button), Versatility (it has two headphone jacks built-in) makes it so practical for us. Put inside your breast pocket on your motorcycle jacket and with the large button it's easy to stop the music played when you need to. Also when we have been on a bus or train journey and want to share something we're listening to she can simply "jack-in" to the second headphone port on the device so we can share what we're listening too. So far so good. I would recommend this.

Great Bluetooth adapter. Reliable, convinient, and allows us to connect to any type of device.
I bought this to use with the band for playing back music off our phones, & laptops during practice rehersals. This has been a wonderfully convinient solution given how different phones have different sound interfaces. So this will work for anything: android, apple, laptops etc. No need to have a particular cable for each device type. We now use this for all our multimedia in church. We are actually considering getting multiple devices running in church. The keyboard player now connects his keyboard using this bluetooth adapter to play his "loops". He's been doing this for years now and it's been very reliable. I am pleasantly surprised by that. The down side... if you connect your device to the bluetooth adapter, the next time you are within range, it will pair with that device automatically. This is a problem in a "band" situation where many people use many devices to connect to the adapter. If you use it in your home or car where only your devices are connected to it, this is probably not a problem, but rather a good thing actually. We often have to reset the adapter to allow other devices to pair with it. The other downside is that the battery does not last long. We now just keep it pluged to the wall. Overall, it's been a good purchase; great value for money.

Quick and easy setup
Setup was quick and easy, literally up and running within 5 min of opening the box. The unit is has sufficient charge to set up immediately (though fully charging first is recommended), and it's just a case of a 3 second press, unit powers on, connect your blutooth source device, connect the receiver to a suitable amp, play your chosen audio. Done The receiver is small and unobtrusive, comes with all required connection cables - and a usb charging cable, and it's very simple to use. Sound quality is absolutely fine, no issues there, however, if you intend to watch any kind of video while using speakers connected to your device via this blutooth audio receiver then be aware that there is a small delay. While not enormous, it's absolutely enough to notice and can be mildy annoying. At around only £15 at the time of purchase, the audio delay doesn't come as a huge surprise. I only really bought it for music - so the delay doesn't really matter to me, but it's something to be aware of if you intend to use it regularly with video. I'll be reviewing an alternative unit before long, so we'll see how that holds up synch-wise. I've paired my unit up to an AIYIMA A01 amplifier - so my assessment of the audio is using this combo - though I can't see why you wouldn't get equally good results using alternative equipment. I was previously using one of the cheaper blutooth/amp combo units - but this new setup blows that out of the water. That being said, audio is subjective and I'm no audiophile - so my review is based on my bog-standard ears. To sum up, if you're only intention is to listen to music then it's a decent choice - it won't break the bank, it's quick to set up, easy to use, and the audio quality is pretty good.

Clear audio, good little device
Had one of these for a couple of months now. It's a great little device. I run a radio show (it's a hobby, I don't get paid for it) & I use the SONRU for phone-ins. It's great because one output goes into my mixing desk so I can EQ the incoming signal, the other output goes to a set of speakers so we can all hear what's being said in the studio. I'm sure most people won't need it for this purpose but it suits my purposes very well. You get out what you put in. Good signal in, good signal out.

A great way to upgrade older wired (noise cancelling) headphones to Bluetooth.
With the disappearance of 3.5mm headphone sockets on newer mobile and tablet devices, my older but still perfectly functional Bose QC3 (wired) noise cancelling headphones looked as though they might need to be replaced by something that supported Bluetooth. These headphones have served me well over many years, and a more modern pair from the same manufacturer would have been several £100’s. Having read the reviews I opted to try this Bluetooth adaptor, and have been surprised by both the audio quality and battery life. It comfortably lasts a trans-Atlantic flight from the U.K. to both east and west coasts of the USA (10+ hours) before recharging it, and the audio output level is such that it doesn’t need to be on full volume; I typically use the mobile or tablet set to around 60-70% volume for comfortable listening to films, podcasts or music, and being wired my old headset also works with the aircraft onboard entertainment systems if one is available. An unexpected bonus was the second headphone jack; on a recent 4+ hour flight to the Canary Islands on a low cost carrier airline (Jet2, no onboard entertainment system) my wife and I were able to watch the same film that I’d downloaded onto my tablet (iPad mini 6) at the same time. I’m unsure if this negatively impacted the available battery life as it was a relatively short flight, but it worked well with both my noise cancelling headset and her preferred wired Apple earbuds. I was sceptical that such a low cost device could provide good quality audio reproduction, but have been pleasantly surprised by this unit; and as a final bonus its small physical size also means it fits in the same case as my QC3 headphones and it’s easily charged from the same power supply and cable that my mobile and tablet use.

Impressive little device
Wow! Absolutely brilliant little device. Took minutes to setup. Read instructions, then connected cables, then turned device on to search, then connected to my Bluetooth. Turned on my aux mode on my car stereo, and now at last I can make and receive calls and listen to my playlists through my car speakers. My Bluetooth had stopped working on my car and didn’t want to spend a lot of money taking it to get sorted. Highly recommend 5*

Easy to use, sounds great
Just got it. Simple hook up, easy to charge. Bluetooth connect was seamless. Most importantly is the sound. I have it connected to a JBL Creature bass with some homemade speakers (old Bose iPad unit, speakers removed and put into cubes) sound is strong, very little lag, no noticeable hissing, cracking or pops that I've had in other wireless BT units. Not sure anout battery life yet, but it works great while connected to the charger. So far, glad I made this choice.

2008 g35x, works perfectly and enhanced the audio!
This has been an absolute game changer. My car is from 2008, so I don’t even have USB, I have aux cords. This thing plugged right in and it actually has enhanced the audio in my car. I’ve tried three other similar products here on Amazon and this one exceeded expectations by a mile. So far, the battery has been good, going on two months and it hasn’t died yet. The only drawback is you do have to hold the button to push it on every time you start the car. But that’s really not a complaint. The range is unbelievable, considering I’ve parked it at work and even through the concrete of my job, my phone accidentally connects to it. I highly recommend. Well worth $35
