This is my first time purchasing basil seeds. I normally buy chia seeds to make chia pudding. These basil seeds swell a lot more than chia, so I’m using a lot less. I will definitely buy these again.

They plump up within an hour; Totally neutral flavor. I literally drink them down. Not only are seeds healthy in a paleontology sense re humans used to live on seeds and berries etc., but their slippery nature assists everythign slipping out the other end easily etc.

I ADORE the sugary basil seed drinks I get from the Indian grocery. However, I have Reactive Hypoglycemia, lucky lucky me. It's difficult to balance that much sugar with enough protein to compensate and prevent a reaction. We can't carry Quest protein crackers around 24/7. I have a delicious Pitta-friendly hydration mixture, that these are so perfect with. you put a couple of teaspoons (or tablespoons if you want enough ready to mix) in equal parts filtered water and quality food-grade rosewater. Make sure you put in enough that they can open up fully. When you make yourself a nice big bottle of water, add this is in taste with a little sweetener (sugar is not needed) and you're set for delicious hydration that feels decadent without the calories or hypoglycemic crashes. This is a really great value for the size, it will last ages and you'll thank me when your coworkers are drinking their boring water and you have a bottle of Yummmm bliss!

Shows zero on the nutritional facts sticker….. at the very least Least basil seeds should be high in fiber and are, but sticker does not indicate this

This is my second bottle after purchasing another higher priced brand that only lasted a short time. A side by side comparison found that they are on par with the higher priced brand but you get twice as much which is great for someone that uses a large quantity like my family does.

This is the correct texture I was looking for. I grew up with this type of deserts and sweet drink made of basilseeds. Not chia seeds which is similar but not chewy enough. This has the firm chewy part shortly after soaking in water or your drink, has a slight herbal flavor inside. These seeds are soooo clean no debris like most chia seeds I bought in US.

Basil seeds are very expensive and it’s hard to know if what you’re getting is good quality.

What a joy these products are. Every Rani product is better than the last. Thank you! I especially like making keto desserts out of these seeds. They're so much quicker to soak-up than chia seeds. They're really neutral, so they soak up any flavour, and I've been favouring 0-calorie coffee syrups from Matteo (here on Amazon). Anyway, great product...check out Rani's Kasoori Mate if you love butter chicken!! --it's the best! And their high curcumin tumeric is amazing --most tumeric tastes like dirt, but Rani's is floral and sensual. Rani is one of the brands that makes Amazon look good, against a backdrop of so many poor players. I am a big fan.
