Miniature “Whole House Fan” - OUTSTANDING
This is one of the smartest buys I’ve ever made! This fan is OUTSTANDING!! I live in Southern California where the humidity is low, and it gets hot during the day, but cool at night. The design of my house does not allow for a “whole house fan” but this is the next best thing! I purchased two of these; one for my daughter’s bed room, and one for mine. I run them on the ‘Exhaust’ setting in the hot afternoons to vent all the warm air when the sun is hitting our house broadside. In the evenings, I switch it and run it on the ‘Cool’ setting and it sucks in all the cool air from outside. With these fans running, our bedrooms get equally as cool as running the Central Air Conditioner. Both of our bedrooms get down as low as 64° at night. And again - in Southern California, not needing to run the air conditioning is a MAJOR money saver!! These fans do make a LITTLE BIT of noise. The hum of the fan is probably what you would expect a fan to sound like, but the bearings (I think) chatter a little bit and make an occasional very faint, but noticeable clicking sound. My daughter has had this fan in her room, and runs it daily / nightly for over 4 months, and has been great. Based on the solid performance of hers, and how well the design fits and seals into our windows, I decided to get a second one for. Y room. But honestly - they function SO WELL, if they both broke tomorrow, I’d buy two more without hesitation! I wish I had found and bought these YEARS AGO!!

Works great and the price is right!
I have a home office with a couple of servers running, and as I do more (and summer approaches) it is starting to get a bit warm. Bought this window fan because of a combination of price and features. It works great! I run it on intake in the evening and morning to get cool air into the room, then use the report to reverse it during the day to exhaust the heat from the computers. It make a low hum which is not too loud and generally blends into the other office sounds. I would definitely buy this again.

Loud Noise.
The fan works great in terms of power and the option to move air either in, out, or both simultaneously. My only complaint, and it is a significant one, is the loud noise it generates, especially when operating at high speeds. This issue is compounded by the fact that there is no cover for the fan when not in use, a feature offered by many other fans we considered. As we do not have an exhaust fan in our bathroom, we purchased this fan for that purpose. However, since we also have central air, we have to put the fan in the window before a shower and remove it immediately after. A cover would have been a simple solution to this inconvenience and would have improved the overall experience. While the fan is effective at moving air, I would likely choose a different model next time due to the noise and lack of a cover.

Get the shinic fan with the 2026 Upgraded Ultra-Quiet Motor!
Excellent customer service: I ordered this fan initially and it was too loud; I could not sleep with the drone the blades made, so I returned it and ordered the shinic 9" Twin Window Fan with Reversible Airflow and analog controls because the website stated it was a quieter fan (38 db), but it was much louder, so I returned that as well. The Company contacted me directly and sent me a replacement fan, much like the initial one I ordered (the paperwork says it is Item No. BP2-9AQ, with the foam, and insect screen. Turns out they were really listening to the loud complaint. Be sure to purchase the (2026 Upgraded Ultra-Quiet Motor). Experience our quietest operation yet—the 2026 edition features advanced noise-reduction engineering that delivers powerful airflow with significantly less hum. Perfect for bedrooms, nurseries, or home offices where peace and quiet matter most. THIS FAN IS QUIET! It registered 20 db on exhaust, LOW and 30 db on intake, LOW.

Buttons, buttons
I bought this to use as an exhaust for a bathroom that doesn’t have a ceiling vent fan. Unfortunately that bathroom has one of those light switches that cuts off the outlet power with the light. (My house is from the 50s.) So this fan has to be cut on again every time. And that would be one thing. But to turn it on and get it to exhaust, you have to press the “on” button which triggers the fan-in function and then you have to press the function button, wait for the fan-in to stop and reverse. This is an annoying number of steps and really messes with the function for me. I don’t understand why there’s not a switch for mode that survives being turned off. That’s bad design because even if you don’t have my light switch issue, you still have to reset the mode every time you turn it on. In terms of quality, it’s about what I expected. Not great but not terrible. The locking clips for the side panels are flimsy and not very functional. I think this product is a little overpriced. Install wasn’t bad but my window required some weatherstripping to make it work because it’s old and no standard. The size was right for my bathroom window. The fan is definitely powerful which is good. My other concern is how large the grate is. It’s safe enough but you can see through it to the outside which is bad for privacy. Seems like it could be a smaller grate design without impinging on airflow too much. The cord could also be a little longer. It does have a little notch that allows the cord to come out the front or back. Unfortunately there weren’t really other options coming up for what I was looking for.

Not that powerful even on the highest setting, the extensions keep collapsing
This has its pros and cons. The pros are that I do love that it fits perfectly in my window. I love that it has 3 settings, cool, exhaust and circulation. I love that it has a remote control. That's where the pros end. The cons are that the fan is not that powerful, even on the highest setting. The highest setting is a just a mild breeze compared to box fans or other fans. You also don't feel the coolness unless you're sitting in front of it. Also, the build-in extensions are made of plastic and keep collapsing on occasion. There were days where it collapsed and fell out of the window knocking things over below. The plastic piece ended up tearing at one point as a result of that. The screws holding the plastic together don't work. This all happened within a month. I mainly also got this for the exhaust function which pulls air out of the room and spits it outside. I have two horrible cigarette smoking neighbors downstairs that started smoking directly below me and their smoke drifts into my apartment every hour. It was mentioned that an exhaust fan could work and this likely could work IF the fan was more powerful. If a little bit of smoke is getting through this fan, then that means the smoke is more powerful than the fan. However, I will say that having this is much better for the smoke than not, since it reduces the smoke smell significantly. The fan does have a hum that I can hear in the other room, but that doesn't bother me. I'd be fine with that if it actually worked in a stronger way. This would be a 5 star fan if they worked on the mechanics of it and made the highest setting stronger and created extensions that were stronger than plastic. Because it's not, this isn't worth more than $15. It's cheaply and poorly made. I reached out to the company for assistance with it and they were useless. There way of correcting this issue was by saying, “No one else has had this problem”. Good for them, but I’m not everybody else. They did nothing to resolve the issue. There are more than enough fans out there from better companies. Avoid this one.

Mini Whole‑House Cooling
I’ve been happy with this window fan overall. I use it mostly to pull cool evening air inside and exhaust hot air during the day, and it works surprisingly well—almost like a small house fan. The airflow options are versatile, the remote is convenient, and it fits securely in the window with a good seal. The only downside is the noise: it’s noticeable, especially at higher speeds, with a slight hum or clicking. Still, it's a good purchase for my needs.

shinic Window Fan with Reversible Airflow Quiet, Twin
I looked at quite a few different double fans. I found this one was quite unique because you’ve been also do a reverse flow on it. I know it’s more summer thing, but I saw it and thought it would be great when the summer comes around it is very quiet and you can set one of the fans to blow out and the other one to blow in, which I thought was very unique. Hope my review helps. Thank you.
