These Are A Good Buy
I purchased these relays to replace the failed units in the electric winch, used to raise the roof on my popup trailer. These were one-third the cost of ordering replacements from the manufacturer! They work perfectly - every bit as good as the originals. The included bases/sockets are equipped with decently gauged wiring. The wires are stranded, but at the supplied lengths, they are adequate for the relay ratings. After rewiring my winch with the included bases, it'll be a snap to replace the new relays... someday. These relays seem very well made. I am satisfied, and would buy again. In fact, I did. Ordered up a second set for another project!

Does what it intends to do
It works, I kept burning 40 amp relays on my Spal fans to the point that they would burn your hand to the touch. I went through 5 relays in the span of about a month & a half. I narrowed down the root cause of that to be the fuse system as running these fans on startup can spike over 60+ amps yet they're rated for 30amp fuse with a 40 amp fan setup. I purchased these & a larger base fuse setup & now these run warm and very warm on extended hot days where the fans kick on and off multiple times. I inspected the pigtails pins to make sure they were all crimped properly before installing them as there's comments of people having had them improperly crimped and the wires puling out. I can confirm that my crimps looked good upon inspection, I do own a crimper so I was ready to make the adjustment myself. These work well they're a solid product, with larger pin terminals so no they won't fit in a regular relay slot but they are in the form factor of a regular 30-40amp relay which is great.

80 amp heavy duty relays.
I just got these and pull on the wires to make sure they were not going to come off as some people experienced. No problem with the ones I got. I did end up swapping the red and yellow wires since I like the red to be my positive 30. I also added the pin numbers on the outside casing so I can easily see what's what after it's installed since It's hard to see the diagram in the dark places. I do like the thicker wires on these. I have not installed them yet but tested the leads to make sure the wires are working. They are hard to push all the way down or take them out which I guess it's a good thing. However be careful when taking them out since the casing is plastic and easy to pull out. Update - March 28, 2025. I finally got one of these installed in a car alarm starter cut-off that kept giving me staring problems during hot days. It turned out the small relays were just not working. I also re-connected the ignition wire to make sure it wasn't that as well. So far I have not had any more problems after using this relay. Maybe it's the cheaper relays just don't hold up anymore, I'm not sure but I'm glad this problem is now fixed because my car turns on every time now. I'm just glad these are better relays.

High amp relays and sockets
For the money they seem to be a good deal. I have used the 80 amp relays before and have had no problems. They have been in the truck for over 3 years. The new ones I received are the same 80A relay plus the sockets. Only problem is that on both sockets at least one wire was not crimped correctly. They just fell with the slightest pull. I removed the connector and soldered the wire to it. Problem solved. So if you buy these check the wire connections in the socket base. Other than that all is good. Will buy again since that one problem isn't really a problem to anyone with simple electrical experience.

Quality Relays
Used these on my LS swap truck to power the electric fans out I got from a junkyard tahoe. These are very durable. My experience has been that smaller relays that claimed to be rated for the load (40 amps x 2) heated up quite a bit under load. As a licensed electrician, I know that is not acceptable. The wire size on these is adequate to handle a load and does it reliably every time without issue. Very pleased with the performance of these.

fine for under hood or in a box. Great capacity and all the parts to replace burned out connectors
The spec is better than the ones I replaced. The connections are not weather proof and should be under hood or in a box of some sort if using in an automotive or RV application. I used them on a (now portable) winch that will not be stored outdoors at this time, but may mount later. The control box can be put under the hood or the relays be mounted (tab on case) in the upper engine compartment. Heavy duty wiring makes the connections good to go. I wired them in with a few minutes work and the winch was good to go (again, old relays burned out when borrowed by a friend.)

Workes great
These are perfect for what I needed. I wanted to add an accessory fuse box to my side by side, and this is what I used to power it. I wanted the fuse box powered from the battery but turned on by the key. Exactly what I needed. Works perfect and I like the fact that it is 80 amps which makes sure that I don't overload it. Highly recommend.

No issues so far, wires are fine and not popping out like in some reviews. I’m using this with a dead man switch on a kayak trolling motor and it’s been great so far even in a continuous duty / high current situation. Will be launching Raptor Kayaks Canada YouTube channel in spring 2019 and we will be covering relay wiring and lots of other neat stuff you can buy on amazon.

I was hoping the connections would be sealed front the weather as it’s for automotive but it wasn’t. Great value for 2 though and work great
