Highly enjoyable movies
I remember watching these when they first came out, absolotely brilliant mix of action, adventure, comedy and slight horror, imo perfect casting and the cgi was very good in that time period, i also thought they got the plot balance right especially in the first movie, I also thought the second movie was just as good, like a continuation of the first film, all be it on a bigger scale, it still managed to retain the magic of the first one, the third movie was also an enjoyable romp, but suffered from the recasting of the exellent Rachel Wise, thats no slight on Maria Bello who did a great job, but it is a distraction to try and adapt your brain to a character you had already bought into, especialy a main cast member.

Packaging finally worthy of the trilogy
I bought this with some hesitation after all the complaints about the earlier release, but my copy arrived perfect. No more three discs stuffed into paper sleeves, this one comes in a sturdy case with individual internal trays for each disc, which protects against scratches and makes handling easier. As a collector’s item, it does justice to the trilogy. The presentation is neat, organised and feels durable. Highly recommended.

Basically Indiana Jones but Mummy!
One of the things i adore Universal Pictures is that they gave me something very exciting and energizing that i never got bored with their film catalogue, i love Dreamworks' the Bad Guys 1 & 2 (which i happily own those films on 4K UHD Blu-ray), i love Skybound's Renfield (which it surprises me that the story was pitched by a comic book writer Robert Kirkman of Image Comics/Skybound Entertainment), and i love Edgar Wright's The Three Flavours Cornetto trilogy (which it got me, when i was teenage boy, introduced to Simon Pegg, Nick Frost and Wright) Universal Pictures has become my favorite mainstream company film of this planet Sera, i mean Earth! Now, about the films. Imagine making a horror Universal Monster title, but instead of make an actual old-school horror film, they had to put a combination of Indiana Jones and Amy of Darkness with pour chemical X, it explodes, thus Stephen Sommers' the Mummy was created. Q) Was it a good "horror" films? A) Absolutely not, Universal Monster fanbase would burn this film alive. Q) Was it a good films for me particularly? A) Hell yeah, it was fun popcorn film, especially Brendan Fraser who's the main highlight of the entire trilogy (i mean who doesn't love Brendan? he's a wholesome and wonderful man). I enjoy the first and second ones, i thought the third installment was okay, both Jet Li and Michelle Yeoh did their best to keep this story more interesting. Overall it was an absolute bangers. And yes, i'm happy to inform you that three 2K Blu-ray discs are in fact region free. It's all good and set. Highly recommended if you're into Indiana Jones-inspired action film, or you just want to show Brendan Fraser some love, that's good too!
