Meditations. What a book. Every page from Marcus Aurelius feels timeless and deeply personal. I started reading it for wisdom and ended up changing how I think, act, and live.

I just wanted to write about the listing . Many might think this is a first edition but it is not . It says first edition edition. Writing edition twice means it is a edition of first edition. It might be misleading to many as the year 2002 is also written.I still kept the book as the price is right and the book is nice . Only thing I would have bought a cheaper paperback copy if i would have know this was a reprint.

This serves as a way of getting people to reflect on their thoughts. This is by no means a philosophy masterpiece, but an excellent example of a person thinking through things deeply.There are important lessons one can learn from this book such as acceptance, tolerance and living a life that is moral (although virtue ethical theory is stressed here, which is understandable considering the time in which this was recorded).Will recommend anyone who has an inclination towards philosophy to read this book.

'Meditations' by Marcus Aurelius is a timeless gem. Rich, practical, wise, very useful and amazing. The New Translation by Gregory Hays is truly amazing. He has done an outstanding job. His introduction is great. The hardcopy is great. I really love it, it's there on my bed side. Highly recommend it.
