OMOTON Ultra-Slim Bluetooth Keyboard for iPad,iPad Pro/Air/Mini,iPhone

Surprised with how much I like this keyboard given the cheap price. It does feel a lot like the apple keyboard when typing, and I've had no issues with connecting, even to multiple devices. It is very small and portable. It fits perfectly in my mac mini case to use as a portable keyboard when I travel with it. I also use it to type on my ipad and works great for that as well. I actually use a very old full sized wired apple keyboard as my main keyboard at home as I like have the number keys on the side, but I can type just as fast on this keyboard when I am out and about

First of all, ITS PURPLE so it’s already the best. It’s sleek and simple and no loud clickity clackity key noise, which is what I prefer and is very similar to the MAC keyboard. Great quality and no lagging issues.

The keyboard is easy to connect. Don’t forget you need two AAA batteries. This reminds me of a Mac keyboard. However; the keyboard itself seems off centered because I find myself extending my fingers more towards the right. Transitioning from typing on my laptop, to using this keyboard for my iPad is something I need to get used to. I’m not sure what makes it off centered. It looks like a normal keyboard, just feels off.

So we have been an @pple family for 30+ years. Both my small, handy, @pple keyboards died within a week of each other. I love the little ones because they fit into my bag easily. So I went browsing and found this little gem. For probably a tenth of the price of replacing the @apple one, I now have what amounts to the exact same keyboard. It takes triple As instead of double As, can be turned off to save battery (unlike the @pple which continues to use power till it shuts itself off after however many battery-draining minutes). It paired in a snap. It looks exactly like the @pple keyboard. The tactile sensation and key response is, imo, better than the @pple’s. It’s lighter!! It has exactly the same fn and key command icons which respond perfectly. I can’t think of a downside at the moment, but I will return with an update if anything disappoints me. But for twenty bucks, I can’t be too disappointed if it only lasts a year.

My daughter is very happy with the keyboard. It connects easily and makes typing assignments on her iPad much easier

UPDATE on November 3 My problems with this keyboard have been resolved. The replacement is working perfectly. Amazon replaced it quickly when I complained about the problem and the new keyboard works just as well as the one I owned before I dumped a beer on it. The vendor was also monitoring my situation and quickly offered to replace the defective unit. But Amazon had already taken care of the problem. When I read reviews from people who diss a product because they happened tp get one with a manufacturing defect I get annoyed. Every manufactured product has a small chance of failing. What is important is customer service and how quickly the problem can be resolved. In this case both Amazon and the vendor were on top of the situation as soon as they heard about it. Companies that sell $15 keyboards can not afford many warranty claims. They have to design their products so that the failure rate is very low or they wont make any money. That is why I have had such good experience , with inexpensive electronic devices. They cant afford to build them to mil spec standards, like a satellite that is going to be put in orbit, so there will be occasional failures. In my experience they are few and far between and that's where customer service comes into play. If, in the very unlikely chance, that I get a defective unit, prompt attention to the problem can resolve it painlessly. I had this exact same model for many months before I accidentally destroyed it by pouring a beer on it. When I needed a new keyboard I tried another model what was rechargeable. That seemed like a good idea but the charges did not last nearly as long at the AAA batteries on this keyboard and I had to be somewhere with a USB port when it failed or I was out of business. With this keyboard I just need to keep a couple of AAA batteries with my traveling stuff and I can be back in business in seconds. This is a good keyboard. Its light, easy to pair with devices, the keys have a nice feel (but that is a very personal thing) and the battery life is good. I use it with my phone and tablet. ************************************************ What follows is my initial review I have had this keyboard for a couple of months and am having problems with the repeating characters for several rows of text. If I turn it off and turn it back on the problem goes away for a while. Im going to contact the vendor and see if they can do anything about the problem or if there is something I am doing wrong. I owned one of these previously and it was fine until I dumped a beer on it.

The keyboard is a perfect size for the iPad and connected quickly. However, it is glitchy and the shift function is will generate the a different symbol than what is on the key. For example the shift for the question mark generate a colon, or the money sign will generate a dash. I will be looking for a different keyboard.

I never leave reviews but, I just got this in the mail today, but so far it has been excellent with my Ipad. I t gives me the ability to take screenshots, change the volume, brightness, lock my ipad, go to the Home Screen, and search on my IPad using keys on the keyboard. It’s a wonderful size and works very smoothly. I will say, if you like extremely smooth keys then perhaps consider something else but overall I have no complaints!

Still typing on this one right now two years after purchase! Easy to set up on Windows 10, connection good, battery saver works (it takes a couple of key presses to wake up after sitting idle, but that's fine given that I don't have to manually deactivate/reactivate it to save battery, just leave it always "on"), it does what I need. Angle is nice for typing and the aesthetic (what I chose this one for, honestly) is still nice, no fingerprint wear yet (although I'm not a heavy typer). Minor nuisances: some buttons aren't the same as for Windows (e.g. CTRL/FN placement, have to press FN+DEL for the DEL button to do anything) but I'm well used to it by now and it's easy to switch between keyboards. Recommend!
