If u have any fish pro or other with a fish finder this is the power cord you need to power the garmin in house. Just use a 12v battery or power supply and no more running outside because of a bad update. Use your cradle or but another on Amazon to keep in the house. Felt good updating everything in my kitchen without issues.

I bought this for my garmin echomap, this was a spare to use at the house for updating my echomap, my boat doesn't stay at my house, so now I can bring my echomap home and update it then take it back to my boat.

Generally a solid unit though tag ends should ideally be longer and one step up in wire size.
