I normally use this type of item, particularly the fudge brownie flavour as an enahncement to a small picnic lunch or as a food supplement after a workout. The advent of bowel cancer and the inability for me to traing whilst I recover from surgery, opened up a new avenue for me and these Grenade products to ensure that not only do I keep nourished, but being low residue does not place my digestive system under too much strain. This drinkgfits the bill and permits me an alternative to my usual fudge brownie flavour. Hands up, these drinks are different to say a normal milkshake, however, not unpleasantly so. Ideally drank ice cold, they are both refreshing and offer a 25g protein hit. Until April, I would take a bottle on return from the gym, or to take with me in a cool bag as part of a light meal. Now I find them very suitable for my low resideue diet whilst providing me 184 claorise at the same time. Low sugar and fat content, help me to better help my short and ong term recovery too. I also find that this drink is less sweet that the fudge brownie, carrying a more acidic taste which cuts through the sweetness. Texture is smooth, it helps to satisfy my appetite and keeps me fuller for longer. Conversely, on days when my posrt op treatment makes me lose my appetite, the bottle is sufficiently small; holding only 330ml to tke a deep breath and just drink it, as some nutrition is better than none at the moment. Well worth purchasing, much more competitively priced if purchased using Subscribe and Save and all around a decent post workout drink or in my case, help to enhance my recovery.

Lovely taste when out of fridge

I got these on an offer & they've kept my drinks fridge stocked up for months for post workout protein hits. They are very smooth and they taste good. Just remember to shake it vigorously before you start to drink and you'll have no issues.

Quite sweet tasting, maybe over done on the sweeteners
