Can this plug into a cigarette lighter in a car?

no, you need a specific adapter... if you have a power inverter that plugs into a cigarette lighter, then you could plug the adapter in it and that would be your solution for that question.

I have the 8 and 12 led ir light. can they both be run off of a single power supply, or do i need to buy a bigger amp wall wart?

There could be many variables, but here’s the basics. First verify they have the same voltage requirements.  Then add the two lights wattages together.  Multiply this total by 125% to find out what size wattage you’ll want for a power supply (This 125% is for continuous use, four hours or more at a time, and will help prevent your power supply from burning out early.). Optionally, you should be able to add the amperage of the two power supplies together to determine what amperage rating you would need to power the two lights from one supply.  Ie. Two of these lights (Each with a 2 amp power supply.) could be powered together from a 4 amp or larger 12 volt power supply.  And like Ken said, you need to be sure to use the proper sized wire.  If unsure, use the same size wire provided on the new, higher amperage power supply.

Univivi IR Illuminator,850nm       can anyone verfy this item  lighting range is 90 deg.

Haven't actually measured it but I've got it pointed at the ground about 20 feet away and it ;lights up an area I'd estimate to be 40+ feet wide  or ~90 deg.
